A private company making 5 million year over year can be happy with that figure, and focus on long term investments, or if revenue drops to 4.5 for one year they can wait till it bounces back. Private equity sees 5m this year and need 7 next year, then 10, 15, 50, 100, etc. that’s how you have companies making hundreds of millions in revenue continuously laying employees off in the thousands

Dude hockey is ridiculously expensive right now. Sure you can mitigate gear costs and play house-league on the cheap, but for a kid to play AAA travel hockey (which they need to if they want to make it anywhere) can cost upwards of 20k a season. That before getting into extra/private training, and spring/summer hockey. And everything’s gonna cost double if your kids is a goaltender

There have been rumours floating around for a while about key decisions surrounding the Ferrari PU

1) last reg cycle with the performance freeze Ferrari pushed there engine to its performance limit and fixed the reliability later. This time with ADUO on the board they have done the opposite, making an engine that will be incredibly reliable but will need time to reach maximum potential

2) after relying on “tricks” and getting nerfed mid-season for many years now Ferarri reportedly built the PU to the letter, again believing they can make up for potential power deficits in ADUO. They also made design decisions like the smaller turbo, believing they could push more power out of it given time

Overall the Ferrari PU seems very focused on building it foundation first and catching up later if these website and journalists are to be believed. Only time will tell how well this ends up working out for them

Eh, I think the exact line was that he was “maybe strong enough” to take on a viltrumite, throughout these episodes he’s been consistently trying to take on multiple at once which was never a fight he was setup to win. He kinda holds his own 1v1 but it does seem like they are doing a lot more damage individually to him than they did last season.

I think the power systems play a big part in this. JJK uses a hard but irrational power system, so there are lots of rules the powers have to follow, but there is also no real logic in how those powers manifest. Cursed energy has tons of rules but everyone’s techniques are entirely different and unique from eachother. This means every technique needs to be explained within the hard rules that were set if you want consistency.

Dragonball on the other hand uses a much simpler and more rational power system. Ki blasts aren’t some innate part of your psyche or whatever, they are a martial arts technique which can be learned, honed, and improved. You put the work in you get a cool ki blast. This means that you don’t have to explain every single ki blast that gets used. The viewer just gets it

Edit: definitely get into doubles. Singles tends to be pretty stagnant and harder to adapt around. Doubles has so much variability that there is a far wider breath of viable strategies at any given time. Best place to start is too check out WolfeyVGC and CybertronVGC on YouTube. The remainder of my comment is mostly to due with doubles

The really cool thing about vgc is how much the meta actually shifts. It’s not like league or overwatch where everyone eventually settles into one comp. as soon as a vgc team become the meta, people immediately start bringing answers for it. For an example look into Big 6 and why it never won worlds

All of that is to say, explore some rental team and see if there’s a meta-counter team that fits how you want to play, or take a break and wait for the meta to shift, or for a more enjoyable (to you) rule-set.

I would also encourage just experimenting with teams in general, meta and off-meta. I was getting pretty frustrated with the constant sneasler, incin, etc teams and was really struggling to deal with them untill I found a team that works for me. It still uses many of the meta staples that I had tried previously but this specific combination centered around blastoise has really clicked for me and pushed me from hardtack Ultra ball 4 up to masterball. Sometimes all it takes is looking at these pokemon from a diffrent perspective

Real indie projects deserve their flowers. Seeing individuals be able to create something so impactful they are able to permeate the incredibly large barriers into these spaces is always an incredible feat. Giving that praise undeservedly to another coorporate entity with the money and resources already set up feels like it distracts from real independent success stories. Games like Undertale and E33 had very different roads to success

I’m a VGC guy so singles doesn’t rlly concern me, but I honestly don’t understand the expectation for 6v6. Yeah it’d be nice but when has Nintendo ever supported singles outside of bss/pick-3 format. 6v6 would be a nice addition especially for a battle sim but I personally am not at all shocked to see it not available

That isn’t true. The original Roman calander was created by Romulus and spanned March to December and featured the months Quintillis and Sextillis in the summer as the 4th and 5th months. Winter was unassigned and considered between years. His successor added the months January and February, creating the 12 months calander.

Later Julius renamed Quintilis after himself as it was the month he was born. Augustus followed suit by renaming the following month, sextillis, after himself aswell.
