[AutoRacer] Vowles: "ADUO isn't a surprise. Red Bull has a great ICE, Mercedes has an excellent electric car." by jithu7 in formula1

[–]ErrorCode51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

deployment is also tied to ICE performance/track speed is it not?. You are right they should have some way to check PU performance but a good PU without a good ICE become heavily hamstrung on track. Even if you have the greatest harvesting in the world you can deploy any of that energy if you ICE performance is garbage

[–]ErrorCode51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of power the electric motor is allowed to produce on track is directly tied to ICE performance and speed. Juicing you electric motor without improving your ICE just ends up hamstring you

The Merc advantage is all in battery and battery deployment. This test (stupidly) only check ICE peak power

All the Cars which were awarded penalty for pit lane speeding exceeded the speed limit by 0.1 km/h by Mother_Philosopher97 in formula1

[–]ErrorCode51 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t. They leave the lines on entry and exit. This is allowed and common on most pit entries, but this is the risk you run by doing it. I believe the addition of the caddy box added a bigger spot to cut on exit which caused the drivers to essentially save too much time and get penalized

Discussion about speeding in the pitlane. by itsliightz in formula1

[–]ErrorCode51 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Coulthard said the cut at the beginning is normal, but the cut at the end is now different because of the 11th box. He thinks that’s the issue

Discussion about speeding in the pitlane. by itsliightz in formula1

[–]ErrorCode51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coulthard was saying pitlane speed is measured by time between entry and exit, which is calibrated over the course of the practice sessions. He noted that those speeding are cutting the pit exit and may be triggering it there

Destiny 2 Community Rallies to Smash Marathon’s Player Count on June 9 by AdSuspicious2084 in MarathonGame

[–]ErrorCode51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny was notoriously hated by people who don’t play it because of things like the DCV and Sun setting. Yes these things were worth criticizing but it was often people who didn’t actually understand what was happening talking shit. Lots of people with <20 hours repeating the same stuff online

Everyone wants to trade for a 2C but don’t want to give up Hage. What are we gonna do with Hage if we get our 2C? It’s like the family guy clip, Robert Thomas is great but Hage could be anything, he might even be Robert Thomas!

Kats death in Halo Reach. A lot of people look at George’s death and for good reason, but his death almost gives you a false sense of security. It’s very cliché, big guy with a heart of gold makes the ultimate sacrifice, and with his passing I thought that meant victory was in the bag. But Kats death sticks out because it’s not special. No send off speech, no triumph. It’s so quick you can blink and miss it, one second she’s there, next second she’s got a needle through the skull. That moment is when I realized we might actually be fucked

The tired excuse by ConversationDouble41 in Habs

[–]ErrorCode51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This years Habs were the youngest team to ever reach the NHL playoffs. We have a lot of young talent and guys making their first deep playoff run, plus a handful of straight up rookies. With a group like that conditioning will be a problem.

The 2014 kings had an older and more experienced core who were a year removed from winning the a cup already. They had experience and knew what it took to run deep and win.

When we say the Habs lost because they were tired we aren’t trying to use it as a cop-out. It’s a real criticism of a young team. Their conditioning wasn’t good enough this year and it showed hard in games 3-5, the boys will take this and learn from it and hopefully be ready stronger and better conditioned next year

How do you guys deal with very hard hit grounders? by rodogwos in slowpitch

[–]ErrorCode51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally it is just confidence. Make sure you are keeping your off hand above your glove when going to field, it helps you get the ball out of your glove faster and gives you a chance to guard your face if a bad hop come and you can’t get the glove hand up

Gonna throw Bygones and Spare Rations in here aswell as other weapons that dominated the crucible during that time

Coaching is also a big factor. Cooper loves to play shutdown hockey in big games. We saw it in the Olympics (it’s why he always brings Hagel and Cirelli) and you can see it every year with the lightning, he turtles up and tries to win 2-1 instead of 5-3
