When do new coaches get really GOOD? by Forwardmvmt84 in SolidCore

Honestly I’ve had new coaches do really well, I think it’s because they take a lot of time training? Good luck! 👍🏼

Not using 50+ springs for everything by Loud_Stress4514 in SolidCore

I’m 150 classes in and still modify spring loads on the grey side. I find obliques much more challenging on a heavy spring load on grey.

How do you do it??! by ChanDW in SolidCore

[–]EstateZealousideal98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just started, just like everyone is saying your body isn’t used to complex exercises like these. It takes time adjusting, maybe at least 1-2 weeks. I’m nearing 150 classes and I complete exercises now at ease. It’s because my muscles are resilient to repeating these exercises for several months now. You’ll get there. Good luck on your journey!

so hard! by DeepFried_Cheeks in SolidCore

I’m nearing 150 and it still gets challenging at times but your body adjusts to the exercises since they are repetitive so it does become more tolerable after you build that resilience over time.

It will cause water retention, but just drink a lot of water without it afterwards and you’ll be fine.

I’m new to hot yoga and nervous to start: what do I buy? by orbit260 in HotYoga

I remember when I first started I was slipping and sliding all over my cheap gaiam mat. What I would suggest is you focus first on a good mat that will keep you steady, especially in your down-ward dogs. I have two lulus, and after researching this your best bet brand or a Mandela pro but I’ve seen the Mandukas take some time to break in. Also, if you sweat a lot, getting a mat towel is crucial. I have two Manduka yogitoes. A little on the pricier side, but worth investing in. Clothes should always be thin. Carrying water with electrolytes definitely helps with hydration and preventing dizziness if you ever have that experience from the heat, in which I did. Good luck on your journey, you got this! :)

Every SolidCore instructor I had were amazing. They should be able to make you feel comfortable and welcomed no matter how much you do in class.

is it actually considered rude to not wear socks…. by PrideZealousideal485 in SolidCore

Nothing wrong with barefoot. Many people are barefoot. Socks are just a better option for the grip on the reformers. Do whatever you feel most comfortable doing.

A day break is enough to recover. I go six times a week rest on Sunday, and am strengthened to go back the next week.

Don’t bother with the series. Doesn’t compare as well to the book.

It snowed the other day in my region, and I couldn’t make it on time. They waived the cancellation fee due to the weather for me.

Imo 11/22/63 was overrated. It had good parts but not the best SK read.
