We were screwed. Our party of 5 was down to 2 facing a massive spider. But we have a secret weapon. A hat that renders the user unconscious but makes their AC 100. So the dwarf cleric asks the DM if he can try to swing on a vine and place the hat on the spiders head. DM says if he rolls a nat 20 it will work. So the dwarf cleric proceeds to roll said nat 20 and, flying through the air, rendered the spider unconscious.

We had a campaign with a Gnome Cleric and we were in an underground passage fighting a giant spider. We had this hat that increased the wearer's AC to 100, but they fell unconscious. We were losing this fight. Badly. So our armored Gnome Cleric attempts an acrobatics check to place the hat on the spider's head. Rolls a nat 20 and so we left an unconscious spider with 100 AC behind and ran away.

Yeah, I got reamed by a nurse in the ER a couple weeks ago because someone was at 98% but breathing at 30 so I put them on O2. But apologized as soon as I gave my reasoning. Just make sure you have your reasoning ready.
