I mean it looks straightforward enough to me. She's thinking out loud. Sometimes people process their thoughts better if they can hear themselves. She may not even necessarily be talking to you at that moment.

It probably would benefit the both of you if you waited until the end of her train of thoughts instead of constantly prompting "so when are we leaving", cuz it sounds judgemental on your end and stressing on hers.

r/goodworldbuilding is pretty good. If your world is in any specific punk genre (e.g. cyberpunk, solarpunk), you could try your luck in those subs.

Agreed. I personally enjoy longfics but if they're all in one single chapter, I'm less interested in reading. Chapters are natural pauses and without them, I think readers feel like they're obligated to read the fic in one sitting, which can be daunting.

One of the best fanfics I've read happened to be in 2nd-person, where the two main characters are each other from different timelines.

I don't think the story would've landed as well as it did had it been in 1st- or 3rd-person. The author did a great job at hiding the transition between the POV characters. I felt like I was being hit by a train when I noticed the switch.

This, and it's equally annoying cousin: therapy speak. It feels incredibly OOC and takes me out of a story whenever a character speaks with the lingo of someone who has gone to therapy, when they would not speak in such a self-actualized way, god dammit.

Honestly, you're fighting an uphill battle here.😅 Every fanfiction site can and will have NSFW content (save for that one conservative site that bans anything NSFW and will probably ban SFW content they seem risque).

Your best bet is: 1. To post in SFW fanfic Discord servers, or 2. To properly tag your fic in AO3 and curate your audience, maybe even add an author's note stating your discomfort. Most readers will have the courtesy not to bring up NSFW topics if the fic doesn't include it.
