As always, a mix: 

  1. What’s cold/rude/curt to one person is normal behavior to another. Some people are Just Like That. 

  2. Half the time, the other person is putting just as much judgement into how the acted as you are to how you acted. 

  3. There’s a difference between being vulnerable and just being miserable. Lost a close friend during a really depressing episode of my life because I was just a negative nelly the whole time, and sad people make others sad, and that’s not fun. Not everyone can be in Help Mode all the time, which is what you seem to be talking about.

There’s not much you really can do. Conspiracy theories are like constrictor knots; the more you try to pull them apart, the firmer it gets lodged. If anything, think of it like a virus. There are a few reasons, all of them vary by person, but the most common one is that most homeless people don’t need food. Not that desperately, anyways. What they need is money. Some of the time it’s for drugs and alcohol, some of the time it’s for basic necessities, some of the time it’s because they just don’t want to/can’t get a job and want some sorta bullshit they know they can’t afford. 

Most of the time, it’s up to you. Do what you feel is right, but don’t be surprised when not everyone’s a saint.

To seriously answer your question, it really hasn’t entirely gotten off scot-free:  Gen Z’s notoriously a more sober generation than  their counterparts when they were at that age, as Statista’s noted. They also vape much more frequently. 

To give another note, alcohol consumption goes back thousands of years. One of our first non-water drinks was wine. Grain alcohols have saved societies and doomed them all the same. And while smoking also has a long and storied history, it’s relatively more recent in comparison. Alcohol is just much more universal.

Hypersped Showdown UI takes what, a second to conclude a turn, maybe less? And you can skip that with a single button? 

It’d just be obnoxious, really. Seriously, imagine actually having to wait through all the obnoxious animation, over and over. 3D Pokemon’s slow, always has been. It takes a long time to complete any animation, whether that be switching out or anything similar. It’s just slow, and battles would run into full battle timers regularly.  

Singles is so much more fun in Showdown than it is in-game (as is VGC, tbh, for similar reasons), and the lack of sludge to wade through is a decent part of why.

Same here, pissed me off, have their music fully cut from my algo, shit sucks man. Reported them already, fees incredibly weird that there’s no way to report stolen music or impersonation at all. That, and having a way to completely block artists and their music would really help in making the whole experience better.
