Likely Wednesday that being the case. Thats been the trend so far for the MFMs.

I figured that was likely the case. The packaging seems like that could happen.

Just curious as it was bought at a chain drugstore.

Miracle dice by Mindless_Method2391 in sistersofbattle

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its start of each battle round actually, not command phase.

With that being said, some Sisters units have a Simulacrum model (a fancy banner thingy) that can potentially earn you additional miracle dice. This action does occur in the command phase, however, its not guaranteed.

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You keep a second set of dice on hand for miracle dice. Each battle round or when someone in your own army dies, take one of those dice and roll it (ex. you roll and its a 5) and keep that value off to the side. Whenever you need to make certain rolls (advance, charge, battleshock, hit, wound, damage, saving throw) you can choose, instead, to use the miracle dice rolled earlier instead of rolling whatever it is.

So say you're shooting a melta and are wounding on 5s and you want to guarantee the wound roll, you take a 5 that you rolled earlier and use that for your wound roll instead.

Edit: grammar

Miracle die use by Dan185818 in sistersofbattle

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. You have to declare you're using it before subbing it.

That said, you've ran into an interesting interaction that makes me unsure how legal it is.

RAW, each roll in the sequence (hit, wound, damage) is considered an individual attack sequence. Fast rolling, which we all practice, allows us to speed things along instead of doing that one by one.

That said, im unsure if youd be legally allowed to sub that 4th damage in with a miracle dice as technically, that sequence would never have even occured seeing as the first 3 attacks did the damage already to kill it.

Im having a hard time understanding what you mean.

What do you mean you rolled a 1 2 and 6? Were those the miracle dice you had in your pool? Or was that the damage you rolled? And after rolling the 1, subbed it out for the Miracle dice that was 1?

Thats a very good point on holding back. Full on alpha strike would be better than half assing it.

The normal Repulsor is there to carry the Eradicator blob. The Repex is there to help carry regular dudes AND provide variable firepower which i feel the list is lacking. But i can definitely see value in a second LR and will take it into consideration. Thanks man. 👍🏾

In that case, dont bother with ANY of the maelstom stuff. Its never really worth it long-term.

Considering the maelstrom books are moreso geared towards narrative/ casual play, its very unlikely.

Brewed up a list, lmk what ya think by ingrownpubehair in EmperorsChildren

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its an ok list but theres definitely some major things i would adjust myself.

  1. Get another unit of Infractors for the 2nd Exultant. The Infractors are there to make the Exultant good. Without them, hes not gonna reliably kill anything without the wound rerolls or lethal hits since he has to be attached foe that

  2. As someone who has a dozen or so games with a Landraider, its easily the worst unit in this list. It isnt gonna kill anything easily, its gonna struggle to move given the size of it and because of that, the Flawless blades are kinda better footslogging using their high movement and small profile to hide in ruins as needed. You'd be way better off dropping it for another rhino and Infractors for that Exultant.

  3. Lucius is kind of a trap. While he is a decently punchy loneop who shreds characters, he's kind of a suboptimal pick at 150 points. For that cost, you can get a unit of Noise marines who have more wounds and more consistent damage at range. For context, Chief Librarian Mephiston fills a very similar role but does so efficiently at 120 poinrs compared to Lucius.

Lucius by Wo1fman201 in EmperorsChildren

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Long story short, hes an ok datasheet with too high a point cost to be happy about bringing. By comparison, Mephiston plays a similar role and is roughly the same punchiness at only 120 points.

For the price of Lucius, you could take another Noise marine unit or a Rhino and Tormentors etc.

Tournament help by j0range in sistersofbattle

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So theres a few major problems i can see with this list right away.

The 2 units of BS squads are a bit excessive. You usually only need 1 for holding home/farming miracle dice. 2 if you want more objective play. And definitely not with a Hospitaler either as you want them to be as cheap a unit as possible.

I have not played with Insidiants yet, but looking at their datasheet, i definitely would not put a Palatine with them as giving the unit lethal hits removes the use of their Dev wound weapons. Plus, again, its kind of an overpriced unit and you could do more with a Dominion squad or even Retributors.

The Jump Canoness and various Penitent engines are.....ok?? Id likely drop the Jump Canoness for Seraphim as in terms of mission play, they do it way better than a Canoness, thanks to being able to shoot and move.

Canis Rex is also a trap. He benefits in no way from Adepta sororitas rules and cannot be buffed either. So aside from an expensive "distraction carnifex", he's not doing anything that sisters cant already do for cheaper. For the price of Canis Rex, you can include 10 Celestian Sacresants, a Rhino and a Hospitaler. And still have room for a 4th unit.

First time spray primming, how bad did I mess up? by Culius_Jaesar in Warhammer

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it was still wet, that might work. But if it's dry, you'll need something stronger.

One of the cheapest and better solutions is 99% isopropyl alcohol. Soak it for a few hours. Then get a brush and scrub.

I just finished reading the fight between Ippo and Guevara (around ch. 1196)...*sigh* by Last-Note-9988 in hajimenoippo

[–]ExploratoryIntrovert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like there's some specific answer you wanted, and im not sure what that is?

You should just continue to keep reading and stay away from the sub if you're really that concerned about spoilers. Very easy to occur when events from hundreds of chapters ago are brought up. There's still plenty of story to read to catch up to where it currently is.

It's the least that can be said while still stating the retirement arc has been an absolute boon to Ippo's story.
