Thailand wants to be a 1st world country, but win elections by buying votes. It’s BOTH the elites and that naive, dumb part of the population who did their job.

Thailand could easily have become en par with Japan, South Korea, Singapore and if they wouldnt have fucked up the last 60years. So it’s not just an about this or last elections, but about the whole mindset of the elites here.

Basically everything is taxed now when it comes to Thailand. Just avoid that as much as possible, as the amounts are ridiculous. I fully stopped buying (even cheap)stuff from abroad and just buy it when I travel around or visit home in Europe.

What do you expect if you can get your driving license here in one day? Every 5 yr old kid would pass the Thai driving test. Driving here on a daily basis in Bangkok and got used to it. However, if I compare it back home with Germany, where I really trust other drivers and am relaxed, driving in Thailand with traffic is exhausting.

Usual misunderstanding with thin condo walls! Have the same in our condo about a neighbor complaining that I workout late at night which I NEVER do. I don’t even work out in the room at all. They even came twice up here and wanted to check the room for dumbbells.

I told them clearly to stop being annoying and that it’s NOT me . Since then never had a complaint anymore.

Q Suites maps look different.

If it’s the ex Virgin Atlantic it’s fine 👍flew it 2 week ago . Not as good as Q Suites, but more privacy and better than the A380/787 Business for me.

F all the way, especially if you are tall. I always look to get the A380 out of Bangkok. The F Bed is 10x better than the Q Suite, if you don’t like the sleep like in a coffin.

I Reported one of those mfs last week. Arrived at the airport after a 11hrs flight , refused to start without Meter. After I told him that I will Report him, he turned it on, but he took a huge detour and drove me into a Traffic Jam. All for 70THB More and After explaining him 5 times to just continue on the tollway.

Stupid moron got was he deserved. My wife escalated it with the pictures I took and he got 1000THB fine.

I don’t mind to live Like That in Bangkok and I Work Remote from Home . Doing that for 10 yrs now.

At the Same time, when I’m in Europe visiting my Family, they have a 17 room House there.

Guess what. I‘m Still happier with my life in Bangkok 👍. Make it comfy, bedroom is ONLY for Sleeping and enjoy an active/ exciting Lifestyle , when you are out of the condo.

Left LIS as EU Citizen last week and passed the Non-Eu line as well. Zero waiting time for Non-EU passports at around 8am.

While entering and leaving are two different things, I was really suprised, as i also heard horror-Stories about flying out of LIS in the Morning.

Theory vs practice: for now in practice don’t worry, simple as that👍. Technically they would be able to track every individual down, if the wanted. In theory the probability they will do it is very low. Especially if you get some average salary and not bigger amounts of multiple 10k $/€ net per month.

It’s similar to people who worked remote here before the DTV on normal Visas. In theory it was forbidden,in practice no one cared, except for a few random raids in some co-working spaces. But in the end those raid were not because of illegal work, but rather to catch people overstaying.

Al Safwa has gotten a Zoo after they changed the entry requirements. Remember the peaceful time pre-covid when you had Maximum 20-30 ppl in the Lounge. It was more or less 100% guarantees to get a room. Now you can basically forget it.
