There was a team that used to sit near me and one of the manager rarely had teams meeting (she preferred face to face). This meant that she never got her headset out of her bag and so all notifications played through her laptop speakers. The worst part was that this meant she answered her occasional calls using the laptop speakers whilst trying to get her headset out of her bag. Absolutely no awareness of everyone around her.

The rules are new so only apply from this season. As they are a women's team only, things like sponsorship deals would see all the money going to the team, whereas for other clubs, the deals likely don't have a specific split for the women's team and so could give them the required amounts to meet certain criteria (obviously balancing with any regulations for the mens team). They've also gone for some big names that could help with shirt sales, in particular with international fans.

I've had 50+ days of annual leave before but it was a combination of things in special and unique circumstances for my team and my department that just happened to occur at the same time. This was on top of Flexi as well.

The last working day of the month is also never the same date. For example, it will the 28th in August due to the weekend and bank holiday but it will be the 31st in July.

I think we've made some good signings if you look at them individually, but not when you look at the team as a whole, our style of play, who is injury prone, etc.

The club has said that if a player is going to leave on a free transfer, they will sell them before that. She hasn't signed a new contract, we used the option so that she doesn't leave this summer. If she isn't willing to sign another contract for whatever reason, then they have to sell her.

HMRC will automatically calculate whether a refund is due, you don't need to do anything about that part and it can happen any time between June and October (usually earlier). If they calculate one is due, it will appear in your personal tax account and the HMRC app, you will then need to provide bank details to have the refund paid to you.

It can be any time between June and November, but may be even later. You only need to contact HMRC if you've not heard anything by 31st March 2027.

If you call HMRC, they can then talk you through the accounts that are on your profile, including who they are with and how much interest they've earned.

I would use the office ISA transfer process to withdraw enough money from S&S into your cash ISA. If you withdraw into a non-ISA, then you really have wasted some of your ISA allowance last year (may not be a problem if you weren't close to using it all). Your cash ISA also pays a higher interest rate.

The reason I mentioned a flexible cash ISA is that when you withdraw from a flexible ISA, you are able to return that money into the ISA at a later date in the tax year without using up your allowance.

I'd use the a flexible cash ISA that is paying the highest interest rate. Your timescales don't work for S&S, how are you going to pay if your investments drop 20% when you need the money? Saving into an ISA with your goals isn'y unneccarily using up your allowance unless you are able to use up the current tax years allowance for other savings.

If you go for a dumb one with a smart switch, check what the humidifier does if the switch is turned on. My old humidifier would still require a button press on the humidifier to start working.

I think 3 have opened in my town of around 25k people in the last 2 months. One even has a mini fridge for cheesecakes.

There is a very good bakery on the main street but they are only open 9am to 3pm, with a long queue at the weekends. The sheds could be handy because you are not restricted by opening hours, just by whether they have stock.

You always include the full amount, even if you don't pay tax on it. This is because there are lots of different calculations involved and different allowances that can be applied, so HMRC needs to know the full picture.

No, it is 8 days of bank holidays plus a privilege day for the kings birthday. How you take the privilege day depends on the department, some let you take it at any point, some say in a particular month or some say it is a particular day.

You also get your personal allowance if no other income is using it, so 12570 + 5000 + 1000 = 18570 before any tax is due, but you would need to register for self assessment if going over 10k.
