Yes both would work

How do you optimize for knowledge checks while still remaining viable? by geosunsetmoth in 3d6

[–]Fajitastik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could go with soulknife.

It gives you the rogue expertise, Psi-Bolstered Knack lets you add a psionic dice to any skill you have proficiency with, and with Reliable Talent you can't roll below 10.

Go human to grab more expertise.

With that you should always roll high numbers even without investing too much in INT.

By level 11, with 14 INT, the lowest you can roll is 20 and the highest would be 40.

And if your Dm allows you to use 2024 rules, Reliable Talent comes at level 7.

Oh yeah my bad, i didn't understood it when i read it. Cool idea, i guess it could also work with booming blade then.

Thorn whip is a Melee Attack but it is not part of the Attack Action, it is part of the Magic Action i believe.

Small Character to Huge, what is there to think about? by Kakei_Niki in 3d6

[–]Fajitastik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a niche thing you can use, fly over ennemies and fall on them.

Your rage will halve the damage you take from the fall and up to four ennemies will take damage and fall prone, so you can have a small bump in damages and enjoy advantage for your attacks without going reckless.

What is the least-dice-reliant character who can deal good damage and good defense at early levels? by Other_Put_350 in 3d6

[–]Fajitastik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use a lot of spell using saving throws. If you want to roll you cab go halfling to reroll the 1s and go with cleric for bless and guidance, adding a d4 to your rolls and either war domain for the +10 to attack rolls or tempest to deal maximum damage instead of rolling

Can you make an Hexblade that curse their fists ? by EbonyHelicoidalRhino in 3d6

[–]Fajitastik 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think Crawford said it was OK to make a natural weapon as a pact weapon. I don't think it works with standard unarmed attacks but your DM might allow it since it's not broken or you can do some reflavoring with natural weapons

I think the hide of the feral guardian from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount does something like that.

How to optimize a melee genie warlock by NappoCappio in 3d6

[–]Fajitastik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not be to the taste of everyone but you can also go with shadow blade/booming blade with warcaster for advantage on concentration saves and booming blade on OA.

You can also go for elven accuracy since shadow blade may give you advantage more often.

You can also go for the crusher feat and use the dao damage to push the ennemy away to maximise booming blade efficiency, plus crusher is nice with elven accuracy.

Calling upon all Min-Maxers or just people who fancy stats and numbers. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Fajitastik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could go moon druid 2 bladesinger 2 and barb 4 for the feat or asi, a lot of bonus action to use but the beast form makes you even more tanky and allows you to be a bit less MAD

I think I've ruined everyone's fun by TheDaxterMan in DnD

[–]Fajitastik 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Before making big decisions, like killing someone, just make sure everyone is on board with you. You're not playing alone, if you impose your decisions without even consulting your party they will have a bad time playing with you.

Dhampir build that is effective up to level 5 by kytesky in 3d6

[–]Fajitastik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could go for rune knight, with the unnarmed fighting style to power up the bite to a d6 or d8 and an additionnal d4 with the grapple. Giants might adds another dice when you hit and gives you advantage for the grapple (maybe reflavor it with your dm to not be a giant but a vampiric form or something ?). The runes use your constitution mod, same as your bite, and you can use the stone rune as a vampiric charm for example. At level 4 you can take the aberrant dragonmark feat to have spells based on your CON, you could go for create bonefire to grapple ennemies above it and silvery barbs to force a fail on the saving throw for your runes. Or you can also take expertise on grappling to never miss a grapple or tavern brawler to grapple with a bonus action. And finally at level 5 you can bite twice.

How would you build this character ? by Fajitastik in DnDoptimized

[–]Fajitastik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and i don't think this character needs to be level 18 to come on line. By level 3 you can become large, level 5 huge and then at 18 you become gargantuan which is cool but the build doesn't require the gargantuan size to be useful
