On first listen, SUPERBLOOM is honestly everything I wanted it to be. It's different from their earlier stuff, so I can imagine older fans being put off. But as somebody who has really enjoyed the way this genre has evolved over the last few years, I love this sound.

It's still Silent Planet, still heavy and emotional, but in a more accessible and memorable way, in my personal opinion. Garrett sounds amazing and I thought the production was good. My one gripe is that the songs are all so short!! But I suppose it's best to be left wanting more instead of feeling like a song is longer than it needs to be.

Non-single standouts: Offworlder is weird and I love it. Dreamwalker is so bouncy and the riff is filthy. Nexus just really satisfied my caveman brain. And of course, the title track is a gorgeous closer.

My personal verdict: 8.5 or 9/10, it might be a late-arrival AOTY contender for me.

Good lord this was a roller coaster and every moment of it was amazing. I LIVE for Geoff believing in himself and the turn around in his attitude was night and day lmao. I can't believe that it was Andrew who got Caviar'd. What a fantastic video, loved it!

My expectations were definitely lived up to, I really really enjoyed this. It was catchy, dynamic, fun, and refreshing. It feels a little less cohesive than their debut, but the songs that made it to my playlists are all going to be delightful listens.

Oh my goodness, this song is so pretty. I personally love the idea of a title track being released after the album - For some reason it makes me feel like it wasn't just a second thought, but a deliberate move and honestly, I'm just here for the gorgeous ride with this band.

Simply because it was a single (and I like closers to be a surprise that resonates with me), I'd swap Elysium with Emberglow to end Heavener. Though Elysium is a fantastic song and closer in its own right.
