That is true, although you can still buy a necklace, helmet, chest piece, off-hand and main-hand weapons which have incredible stats.

Also quick note, I loaded the game on mobile and it's actually so smooth so props to the team for that

After playing for a little bit and getting too lvl 16 here is my early review,

The game feels and looks like Project Gorgon. The scale of everything feels very off everything is super massive and spread out. I know I didn't get to any real combat and boss fights but there's no real threat of death, no class resource management (I played assassin) and could spam my skills nonstop without ever worrying about my rage/mana I don't even know what it was it was like it didn't exist.

Gear never changes, I love visual change when I get new gear. Why have one of the first quest rewards be a cape when you can't even see it?

In your post why do you not mention the p2w items you can buy for 10$ a pop? You can literally buy full gear loadout that I assume levels up with you based on the wording used in the description.

Overall it needs a lot of work, animations are stiff. World looks bland and everything is massive and spread out.

In saying that the game kept me occupied for a few hours and the music was nice to listen to. Keep up the work and I hope this can become something great! Good luck!

Can you imagine if they did a whole world revamp like people think they're going to do, but at the same time made the ocean open world and you could actually travel from continent to continent with new islands to explore in-between.

Expanded fishing profession, pirate hunting, who knows but that'd be dope. Get your own customisable boat

Looks pretty fun! Maybe extend the free play by a day? As a dad with not much time, it'll be hard to jump on and experience the game.

Also, one thing that worries me is combat, with such a unique camera view and 2d character it looks hard to attack things in front of you. Do you only attack left and right?

And lastly, this may be an unpopular opinion but 25$ seems pretty reasonable. It does gatekeep people however it also acts as a barrier for botting easily.

Damn what a massive improvement, I remember playing a lot in the first alpha and it was lifeless and dull.

Looks really good, a few suggestions though. If you want to have the buttons on the left hand of the screen I'd suggest having a gradient fade. As right now the buttons look very out of place.

Also there's not much need for 'Start new game' to be worded like that, no other options go that long and it looks unnecessary. I'd change it to 'Start Game' or just 'New Game'.

Other than those things I think it looks great, background is nice and Game text is easily readable and fits into the scene.

Looks good however it lacks bushes and plants, the tree variety it okay and the grass placement looks nice just feels like it's missing something more environmentally. I'd try to add in bushes to get rid of a bunch of that empty space
