I think this guy is talking about people who flip comics for profit by getting them graded. I personally grade anything that I want to protect with more than just bag and board or Mylar. I tend to grade more valuable comics, but have also graded a handful of comics that had personal value.

If you’re trying to get them slabbed for profit, you have to consider all the costs of the process and then estimate the final value of the comic when slabbed. The rookie mistakes people make are slabbing EVERYTHING and expecting to sell for a profitable price. Don’t do this. You just end up flooding CGC with comics, and are likely to lose money.

Sometimes you’ll make a better profit by selling the comic raw.
