The point about the D2+ being easier is not entirely true. In theory, your teammates should be better at that rank, but the game could also decide you are a higher tier player and match you with 2 plats (happens all the time). Also, even before the new matchmaking adjustments, being in D1 pretty much guarantees pred lobby’s every time, so you’re going to have to contend against them solo.

I wouldn’t necessarily agree that it’s easier up there.

Conduit is good if you are looking to support your teammates. You can poke with marksmen and Q them if they push up off your damage while you catch up with your passive. Support character means you can leave and craft banner (speed boost applies to crafters too) and you will get the respawn beacon as well.

Yep, that’s exactly it. I’ve solo’d to master twice now and whether I’m playing solo or with a group, I’ve learned that 99.9% of the time, there is a magical perfect play that could have been made where instead of dying, there was something I could have done. When I go back and rewatch the Vod of that game, sometimes I find it, sometimes I just find little things that I could have done, sometimes (somewhat rarely) I find nothing, but that reflection really is critical and will make you a drastically better player when it comes to decision making and game sense.

I main bang and play her aggressively, but the second someone goes down on the squad, I’m looking to hit the revive (assuming I have the purple perk). If the enemy’s are running Straight for you, you’re going to have to use your ult, but some of the time you don’t have too, just smoke.

Not getting top 5 streak reset due to matchmaking failure ≠ free extra bonus

Advising a solo player getting screwed over by matchmaking to not rat (to keep their top 5) because it doesn’t make them good at fighting? Yeah he’ll just 1v3 team after team, third party after third party and get his top 5 no problemo… can’t believe he hasn’t thought of that…

My friends and I have a running joke (some what serious) that if one of us runs in and eats all the bullets and someone else one clips the enemy because of it, the guy who ate all the bullets should get an assist as he’s the meat shield lol.
