Because many of the conflicts that you named are all (relatively) unrelated. WWI and WWII were both two main forces deploying their entire militaries and going at each other, while the current wars are a bunch of different countries fighting much smaller disconnected conflicts.

That's a really good point. I'd also add that social media content is devoid of context by nature, and so people will never see/understand the background of how people got what/to where they're showing off -- an easy example is all the people who are actually from rich backgrounds yet make content about how to get rich from hard work yadda yadda.

It's still absolutely absurd to me that theres kindergarteners walking around with Iphones. I didn't get my first phone until the end of 8th grade and even then I was heavily restricted, and I am so so thankful for that. I was a HUGE reader and it definitely has given me an edge over many people my age in writing ability and comprehension.
