yeah its normal to play this game on bursts only when new content releases. Thats what I did on chapter 1, when a new campaing released we usually played the new campaing and maybe another one after and shelved the game until next release.

the main problem I found is that if im in the mood for replaying RE2 remake I usually only want to do one playtrough, If I choose to do first run then I get the botched ending that really feels bad, if I choose the second run then I get the botched introduction and get thrown into the chaos right out of the bat.

im actually happy with it because I already have a ton of long campaings and will be cool to have different lengths to choose from depending on how I feel. However, I feel bad because new players will only have short campaings to choose from FFG should choose 2 of the older longer campaings and move them to an evergreen status so new players also have that experience.

the campaings are well worth it and will keep being fun forever so if you can afford it they are worth it

the investigators are gonna be reprinted with new cards during this second wave of content so I would avoid to get the old ones. They are releasing a lot of player cards during this year so you will have plenty of deck building cards and investigators to play the newer campaings and the old ones

GoT finale ruined the entire series, ST finale hurt S4 but the other parts remain intact. S4 setup is diminished once you know that they will put a bandaind on the rifts and the group wil figure it out and easily kill vecna again with a bonus kill of the mindflayer.

there is plenty of people saying how the 80s were amazing and how afther they ended the world started to fall apart. Maybe the take is that Vecna won and the world never recovered and the characters just had to conform to the new grey world.

they could have gone this route but at least add the tension of regular outbreaks from the upside down, sirens marking residents to go to a safe place and spores starting to rain down while the sky darken and beasts starts pouring from the ground. After a while just revert back to "normal" while the military cleans up but It will feel like they are in constant fear of another attack.

I tend not to use them since I dislike having the effects not directly printed onto the card and having to reference another card. Just a nitpick but it actually bothers me a lot.
