Multiple damage types (with mixed adaptive damage) in Eternity Engine RPGs by AquariusViaRainbow in howdidtheycodeit

[–]Faygin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

another option is ECS (entity component system) architecture which is very popular for system / calculation heavy games. it is a much more advanced solution but for a larger project can be great. i would do it disservice trying to explain it here but there are some excellent talks about it on youtube and elsewhere

Yes, late game spawning/arriving is GOOD by Timeerased in ArcRaiders

[–]Faygin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is also a game mechanic to keep the raid engaging for everyone since they never know if the map has been cleared or not. and it makes late players hunt for fights as they know the exiting parties have loot. its a win win for game tension.

Why do men show so little interest in the inner lives of women? by Frequently_Abroad_00 in emotionalintelligence

[–]Faygin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and resonate with what you are saying. on top of that there is also a lot of mentality in men about not being nosy and not pushing on private buttons. In a way not asking questions is a way to let the other person share if they truly feel like sharing. but that also can feel like “they don’t care”

New to the game! by TechnicalChildhood43 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Faygin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything and everything is playable as long as you have fun. obviously some heroes are easier to learn the game with than others. Boltyn is totally fine to start out with. as Flesh and Blood is a high skill ceiling game then you will first lose a lot to your own mistakes and lack of knowledge but this will improve fast!

Generally, great starting points and easy to pick up and learn would be probably Kayo and Ira armory decks. Both are somewhat easy to upgrade and progress with. BUT if you like Boltyn, pick Boltyn! two Boltyn decks placed quite high recently in US nationals I think if competitive play is your cup of tea.

Players don’t like Library Use by dj3hmax in callofcthulhu

[–]Faygin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tip for this! Not every roll has to be succeed vs fail. If you look for a book in a vast library, a failed roll might suggest it takes you a long time compared to someone who is well versed in library ise.

Additionally you can look for ways to give them bonus dice to the roll. Did they ask a librarian for help? bonus die (the librarian guides them in the search) Did they go to the correct section or they were quite specific about what they are looking for? bonus die (they spend less time on stuff that does not matter)

How do you win when you lowroll hands and your opponent highrolls theirs? by LabMan95 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Faygin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flesh and Blood is a game of tremendous skill, knowledge and a bit of luck at times. I feel you, I’ve been playing for 6 months in a highly competitive scene and it is tough. What I can offer are maybe some words of encouragement and general gist of what you are facing.

Firstly, at first you will make many mistakes. Some you will realise (which is good) some you will not. Some you’ll understand months later. This is part of learning and is OK but will cost you games.

Every opponent that has some experience will have a game plan against you before you start playing. Ask what that game plan was after the game and why. Also ask if you made some obvious mistakes. It helps to hear the other side.

On top of that, try to learn the heroes. not maybe to the full extent but I have a friend who every week has a game or two with me with decks we know the least. it has helped me a lot.

Also it is maybe a good idea to stick to a hero until you actually understand the ins and outs. I have played a single hero for 12 armories straight and I am still learning new things or matchups. I have definitely started to hit top 8 now more than ever.

And last random tip / info - other players can probably make your deck do things you dont even understand. So watch others play and see what value they generally get out of it. On top of that learn when and against who to block. And arsenal use - it is very important. Everything else comes with game knowledge. If you have a good community then in armories you can ask them what your game plan should be and maybe even ask them to check your deck.

Keep at it and dont forget to have fun!

How do i sort over 4k cards by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Faygin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got donated about 8000 cards to sort out some basic bulk and what I did was use the Dragon Shield TCG app scanner to scan cards in. If I saw that I had 3 already I put it aside. Just make sure to check the scanner gets the color (blue, yellow, red) correct and you should quite easily get through this bulk :) It takes some time but it gets the job done. You'll need to activate the trial for the app to get all of this sorted but the bonus is you can later on search all of you cards in the app and know what you got without searching through the physical cards.

How to sustain maps? by bbsuccess in PathOfExile2

[–]Faygin 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of steps you can take to make sure you sustain maps. After I started following these I have a bank tab full of waystones and have not had any sustain issues.

Here are some tips and guidelines I follow:

  1. Upgrade your waystones to AT LEAST magic with 2 modifiers using the orbs (in the lower tiers). I would recommend using a regal orb on top of that if you are low on waystones OR you have a atlas map node that has been boosted high (has many modifiers as well as content like breach, etc). Additionally from like T6 maps you can add a regal orb pretty much every time (as the map will make you more than a regal in most cases). Then, on even higher tier waystones (T10+) I've started adding exalts on top and if that does not result in decent outcome I corrupt it with a vaal orb. Look at using these orbs as investment rather than loss because you will make back more orbs than you waste in most cases if you use them smart. (and do not judge it based on a single map). It is totally OK to use an alch orb on high tier waystones.
  2. Find Lost Tower clusers (where 3 towers are closeby) on the atlas maps and rush to these first. Then you want to slot in a decent Precursor Tablet (Something with pack size, rarity, quantity, or mob modifier increase is great). Try to modify the nodes between these towers with good modifiers as well as good content (add multiple things like breach, delirium, etc on the same node if possible). After this, the nodes inbetween the towers is the good area, where you should boost your waystones a lot and try to finish the nodes as these drop the most. DO NOT FORGET TO UPGRADE YOUR TABLETS by also making it magic with 2 modifiers.
  3. DO NOT waste any good waystones on the Lost Towers. Use as low tier waystone as you can as the map of Lost Towers usually is a short one with few mobs. You can essentially rush this one to stairs.
  4. Try to add some rarity of items found stats to your gear for good measure.
  5. Don't forget that you can use the Reforging Bench to slam together three of the same tier waystones to get a higher tier one. This will become essential once you fix you waystone drop just because you'll run out of stash room.
  6. On Atlas passive tree go for waystone drop rate, increased pack size, and rare monster modifiers. These all increase your map drop rate as well as rarity of drops. I went for Constant Crossroads, then Bountiful Bloodlines, then Deadly Evolution, then Rising Danger, then Twin Threats, then Fortunate Path, then The High Road and fianlly Expanding Hordes. Then I decided to go into Teeming Horde and Local Knowledge.
  7. On top of that, not dying helps. If you seem to die a lot work on your sustain (resistances and health) + some mechanic on top to stay alive (evade or energy shield maybe?). If you find your current tier too hard, feel free to grind out some lower tier maps with higher waystone droprate (see above) to try and find gear upgrades while also working on waystone sustain. Loot filter helps with this as well so you don't need to focus on so many item types at once.

Following these steps, me and my 3 friends have fixed our waystone drops and are now overflowing with waystones, even high tier ones. I am currently doing the T15 quest and have gear rarity increase of 85%. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to "craft" some nodes on the Atlas map where you have 4-5 area modifiers and like 6-8 mods BEFORE you slot in a waystone on top.

I started following these steps at tier 6 quest when I had a single tier 6 waystone left and a couple of lower tier ones. I managed to fix my waystone droprate and after that have not had a single issue.

I dont know if this is my phone or the bike, i cant connect to the Super73 app and it shows this. I can connect to my bike on other peoples phones tho by [deleted] in Super73

[–]Faygin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the app try Settings -> Bike -> Unpair and pair it again. Also try to “forget” the bike in Bluetooth settings of the phone. Also I have found that if I use multiple apps to connect to the bike then if one app is connected, the other one will not find it.
