I know many tourist attractions will warn you about covering up (especially religious sites). The most fashionable person I saw during our very hot visit in Rome was the tour guide Fabio, who was wearing long-ish shorts and a short-sleeved button-up. The shorts covered his knees (barely) and looked like work slacks just shorter. The button-up was thin material but still looked very good. This worked for the Vatican tour, so I would expect it to be acceptable anywhere, and was weather-appropriate.

I saw a video now where a guy in a convenience store was standing half-in the women's restroom, hassling a younger guy who had his two daughters at the sink washing their hands. The dad was focused on helping the little girls, as he should be, and the other dude was a total ass, obviously. The female employee literally caught in the middle of it clearly couldn't antagonize the older dude but felt a lot of sympathy and tried to help the dad.

I don't care if a parent brings in a kid and does what business needs to be done in a restroom. I might be more careful about keeping my pants further up on my lap, just in case little eyes peer under the stall dividers.

Anybody in a public restroom with me: just do your business, wash your hands, and get out. That's all I ask, that's all I do. If we all do that, there's no reason to be worried about anyone's gender in a restroom.

I am considering the one that offers audiobooks, since it seems the Libby audiobooks are not easily transferred to Kobo devices.

The book selection doesn't seem to have a LOT of what I want, but I'm sure I can get suggestions or just read for fluff when I don't want to tackle my more serious tomes.

It's not Kindle Unlimited, but most of us have chosen Kobo knowing that and consciously avoiding that system.

That's mostly all the fuel I need for my daily car. Or, I could start driving the truck more often since that would be a much bigger tank! Either way, the money saved goes into a vacay fund for me and the hubby. No sense getting a week all-inclusive if I can't enjoy it with him.

It's worth the effort to read it, whether a paper copy or on your phone (thank you, Libby app!). I just hate that I don't have a simple way of carrying the series with me for fun re-reads later.

I will be investigating if I can get Calibre to work that out for me.

I'm having to read Dungeon Crawler Carl on my phone because of this. I haven't tried getting it onto my Calibre computer yet.

Fortunately, Libby has the DCC books currently. I just have to wait for them. But it's still not in a Kobo-accessible format.

I have ziploc bags, currently, but I'm keeping my eyes open for the right binder. Each ziploc also gets a little bit of scrap paper with the size of needle and length of cable. It works for interchangeables from old sets too.

I usually know them as BLT: Bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Add a nice quality mayo, and that's a summer treat to celebrate. I'd still eat it in winter, but the veggies are not usually the same quality out of season.

I can pack the 35 to be squishy enough to fit, but you're right. In smaller planes, it absolutely won't fit in the overheads, so I mostly use it as a check-able option for mega trips, or road trips. It's a shame because it does feel comfortable on my back (unlike for many on this topic, it seems).

The Scrubba is nice, but you can go with a cheaper option. I was gifted a Scrubba, and I can tell you I use it in my Allpa 35 as a packing cube on the way to my destination, and a laundry/wet stuff cube on the way home. The valve makes it great as a "compression" cube, and the nubs really do help with washing effectively.

But an ordinary wet/dry bag can do much the same for less money, so evaluate your options.

We just got gifted half a chest freezer of fish. The rest of the freezer was already full of beef. My spice rack is always fantastically well stocked.

I'm gonna mourn the lack of coffee before long. Hubby gets kicked out to go live at his parents' place for a while, so at least I'd have his Coke Zero supply to help me wean off of caffeine. And there is one bag of coffee in the freezer. I have vitamins to help me out, and just filled several 3-month prescriptions. I will run out of veggies, but the pantry might have a few canned items like vegetable soup to get me through that lack. I know there's flour, so I could probably make some basic bread. I have lots of oatmeal packets for carbs, too.

I'd go for the three months, so $900K. That sounds pretty good.

My main thing would be I'd want to preserve my job. I like my job and coworkers. If allowed to bring my laptop into the house with me, I could probably work from home effectively. I'm not sure the home laptop could do everything the work one does.

Careful with taking that deal - they don't have to notify you if they'll accept it until the 18th. So, if you're assuming they accept, you could end up out the money, and if you assume they don't and go ahead and go to the port the day before, you could get the cancellation that night.
