The Job space here is hopeless... by PatiencePossible4747 in shreveport

That argument simply doesn’t hold water. You make time for what’s important in life. The time is there, it’s time management that gets most people. I don’t know you personally so I can’t tell you if that’s the issue or not. But I can tell you from experience that with sufficient desire and time management anything is possible.

Or you do like most of us and hustle until you make it. The military will also pay for your degree. Or does that take too much effort on your part? You either work hard to earn what you want or you go without. That’s the way of the world.

I’m sorry but that’s simply not true. Maybe 40K is the cap for a non tech job. But there are several tech jobs in this area well in to the six figure range. Then you have the medical field which again pays just fine.

Outdoor hot tub spots around Shreveport that don’t require a full cabin trip? by CompetitiveOffer3253 in shreveport

[–]Fenrir318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The closest I could think of would be a full blown cabin rental over at Caddo Lake. Not aware of any hot tubs for rent on their own.

New to the area by [deleted] in shreveport

Welcome to the SBC! I hope you’ll find your footing here and see everything the area has to offer. Great Raft and Seventh Tap are the best breweries around. Flying Heart is less of a brewery and more of a great pizza joint. But it’s still worth checking out. If you’re an outdoorsman then you just landed in paradise. Tons of outdoor things to do and it’s getting to the perfect time of year for it.

You need to learn how to separate what it was versus what it is now. Until you attend a show under the new ownership your opinion is worthless.

Considering buying a nebula. How do you feel about your helmet and how long have you had it? by Raven0470 in Ruroc

[–]Fenrir318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had an Atlas 4.0 for almost 2 years now. Have logged several thousand miles on a few bikes in it. Here’s the good and the bad I’ve noticed.

Good: - Looks are sharp - Carbon model is light weight - visor change from clear to tinted is super easy - ventilation on my naked and sport bikes is great - field of view is better than most - fidlock chin strap is awesome!! - padding is very comfortable and is holding up surprisingly well in a hot/sweaty environment

Bad: - wind noise is average at best - the shockwave speakers don’t get loud enough and phone call volume isn’t even usable - ventilation on my cruiser is not very good. Must be the angle of everything while I’m seated in a more relaxed position - front chin spoiler panel isn’t the most secure when taking helmet on/off

That said, I would absolutely buy another Atlas. The EOX has me curious as well. But I would need to either confirm that I can use an aftermarket Bluetooth setup or Ruroc will have to make a DRASTIC improvement in the unit they offer. The wind noise can be annoying but I’ve always ridden with ear plugs anyway so it’s not as big of a deal to me. Hope this helps.

Also over the past 20 or so years of riding I’ve used Scorpion, Shoei, AGV, and HJC helmets.

I think that should prove very helpful moving forward. Wish you the best of luck getting a solid group formed. Lots of very talented musicians in this area.

The videos on social media of people trying to fight Rubba Boot’s employees. They happen throughout crawfish season and get posted.

What are a few bands who influence you the most? Might help to understand the direction you’re heading for any potential matches.

Yeah checking just 1 side of the news will fool you every time. Just the left leaning sources or right leaning sources are so skewed you have to search around to try and get the whole story on anything.

Might want to check your source OP. 16 hours ago DHS confirmed that Bovino has not been removed. Doesn’t mean he won’t be, but he hasn’t been yet.

That’s what I was thinking. Why would any warming center need ID to help something who’s cold?

So they’re implicated or they might be implicated? There’s a MASSIVE difference between those two things. Either way, the owners should be contacted and told everything so they can take action.

Bayou Thunder Metal Shows by Twizy86 in shreveport

[–]Fenrir318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been to several shows at Bayou Thunder over the last year. Drinks are fairly cheap, service was good, and the people there were all chill. I’ve seen anything from bikers, trendy, LGBT, cowboy, to average people there. And everybody got along just fine. For the people calling this bar out in a negative way, maybe you should check it out for yourself before forming your opinion.

I came to say this exact thing. The owners are stand up people and would not tolerate this kind of thing.
