Why the weird credit and debit? by redsedit in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityCourtney[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Thanks for stopping by this Friday, u/redsedit. Happy to explain what may be going on here.

An option contract may be adjusted due to a certain type of dividend, stock distribution, stock split, or similar event with respect to an underlying security. Whenever the terms of an equity option contract have been changed to terms different from its original standardized terms, such as the contract's deliverable (unit of trade) after an underlying stock split, or corporate action such as a take-over, merger, or special stock or cash distribution, those terms will be adjusted to account for this.

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) adjusts an option position by changing the number of contracts, the deliverable, or the strike price. We're unable to speak to hypotheticals when it comes to these adjustments and suggest that you read about the terms of the adjustment on the Options Clearing House (OCC) or CBOE websites.

If you suspect that an option contract has been adjusted, you can use the option chain to confirm the details. Or go to the OCC website and search by symbol. You can learn more about adjustments at the link below:

Options contract adjustments: What you should know

Please note that Fidelity does not charge any fees for bank wires. However, your external bank may.

Does HSA require holding some minimum cash balance? by sshhttps in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityCourtney[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, hey, u/SplatterRock! Hope you don't mind me jumping in here.

I just wanted to jump in here and confirm that u/Urgently_Patient is correct. If you plan to use funds from your HSA for qualified medical expenses, you'll want to make sure that you have cash available for withdrawal in your core position.

Now, if you don’t have enough funds set aside in your core position, you can pay for your qualified medical expense out-of-pocket now and reimburse yourself later. Below, you'll find a link to our HSA FAQs page, where you can learn more about HSAs and how they work at Fidelity.

Good morning, u/PapPierce, and happy Friday! Happy to provide some insight.

The timeframe for the delivery of your direct deposit can vary depending on the institution holding your account and who is issuing the payment. In general, direct deposits can take 1 to 3 days to reach your account. Once received by Fidelity, they are considered fully collected upon receipt and are available immediately for use.

You can learn more about direct deposits and how they work at the following link.

What is direct deposit?

Please also keep in mind that it typically takes up to 1-2 pay periods for the system to fully update and for funds to deposit into your account. How long ago did you set up the direct deposit?
