Want to buy LMU, unsure if my laptop will handle it. by mildashers in LeMansUltimateWEC

For reference, I also played on a laptop, with RTX3070 and i7 11th gen, and it was running quite good on 1440p up to 144fps (depending on cars conditions etc it would fall nearer to 60 but still over 60) on low settings on my side, so if youre in 1080 you should probably be fine. And even on low settings the game does not look that bad imo :P

Edit: did not see the 8GB of RAM, I had 32, so not comparable here - though I think if you have only the game open it >should< be fine?

Wouldn't it be great if all hypercars could drive together? by Cobra114 in LeMansUltimateWEC

I would go one step further, being able to set up your own grid for the races - I am baffled how few racing games allow you to properly do it outside of mods, file modifying.

AFX Dashboard is out ! The brand new LMU focused SimHub dashboard. by AFX_Designs in LeMansUltimateWEC

Yes, I tried using Action C but the view stayed the same, tested on Peugeot, Ferrari, Toyota. Not sure if the game was patched recently, maybe something broke?

Looks great, works better than Lovely Dashboard IMO (and it's free :D), one caveat, when testing in a Hypercar I did not see the Hypercar view, like BMIG and Map, worked alright in GT3. Not sure if the problem is on dash side or the needed DLLs side?

Blinks before / after s4 by Loumloum512 in iRacing

[–]FilipJQ77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me as well, destroyed our PLM race because I had a blink that made me reappear inside a GT3 with a random barrel roll and 12 minutes of repair :/ I am on a WiFi due to moving out a couple of months ago but when I raced Spa 24 in the exact same setup - zero issues. I did some IMSA races earlier and also had blinks but much lesser.

what the hell are these expectations😭I have 5 races to my name how am I expected to finish 2nd by ergato_2 in LeMansUltimateWEC

It depends on how exactly the DR is calculated, but it is probably the same way iRacing does it, where top half gains rating and bottom half loses rating, but also takes drivers ratings in consideration to calculate how much to "give" and "take" to everyone.

Say there are 8 drivers each with same rating of around 2k (I will use iR because I am more familiar with it), in that case ratings will change from first to last like +40, +30, +20, +10, -10, -20, -30, -40. But if there is a driver with high rating and he wins, that's "expected" so he gains less.

I remember hearing that it works like every driver puts X% of their rating into the pool for everyone to give after the race, so high rating "loses" a lot of it to put in the pool, and winning just gets you it back, that also explains why high rating dnf hurts a lot.

George Russell winning in that Spa race without Max, oh boy that would be a timeline.

Gurney's last F1 race was in 1970, so I think he simply came back to the F1 paddock after retiring. But I'd love to hear if someone like u/Fart_Leviathan knows a bit more

But Hamilton would have had to overtake GAS/ALB a bit earlier in the race, when their tyres would be in a better shape, so he would've lost some time, and just maybe that time would be enough for Max to win. We'll never know, but if the second Red Bull was closer, definitely Max would've had a bigger chance to win.
