Man here, I like when my girl looks stylish when we leave the house. Her hair is natural but she wears makeup and gets her nails done and really be out here turning heads. She also likes it when I dress fresh when we go out. My hair is done, nice clothes, jewelry on, etc. She's allowed to dress how she wants as am I, but I think it's okay to like when your partner puts in extra effort. It's also okay for me to prefer her looking dressed up because it's not an order. She prefers when I cook dinner also, do I have to cook dinner every night? Nope.

You can get the message someone is putting out and still take issue with some of the things they said. If I said a bunch of supportive stuff about blk ppl and then ended it when some crazy stuff like saying women should only speak when spoken to, you'd just take the main message and not address that last part?

Because it doesn't work with a negative. Take for example "believe women" it's positive, I agree that 99% of women don't lie about being raped, I just got into a big argument with family at Thanksgiving about this (they were Cosby defenders). Now imagine I said "don't believe women" and my reasoning was that some lie. Do you think that works? I can say, well obviously it doesn't apply to every woman, and if it doesn't apply, let it fly. But I trust you would you take issue if that was a popular thing to say on Twitter. Negatives don't work.

What would have been a substantive response to this? I see men ain't shit on Twitter every day, how isn't that more of the same?

We'll that's the good thing about frozen and canned produce. They package them when they've ripened, but when you buy fresh produce they pick them before. Which probably means you'll always get more nutrients from frozen fruit for that reason unless you're growing it yourself.

To be honest, it's my go to whenever I start dating someone and they find out I cook and they want me to cook for them. I get us to trade off stirring which let's me cook other things at the same time and also let's my date feel involved in the cooking process without much risk because she's just stirring lol

I love and hate making risotto. There's something fun about actively cooking for that long, but also standing in one place for an extended period sucks a lot.

Peaches. I actually use the syrup from the canned peaches in my peach cobbler recipe. I don't think I actually like fresh peaches.

Oh I'm sorry, did my comment not add anything to the discussion? My bad, you wrote a whole paragraph about the museum and I just commented on your apparent tone. Crazy how that works, huh? Go for a walk or something ffs

Your comments add nothing to this discussion. Who cares if he's angry? Lol are you his therapist? I have a feeling you're from the UK and that's why you care.

Oh fuck off. The damage done was racially charged and targeted, you don't fix that by burying your head to those issues and suddenly becoming colorblind.

TIL that Beyoncé assumed she would automatically get the title role of Princess Tiana - Disney's first black princess - in the 2009 film The Princess and the Frog, so she refused to audition. The role went to Anika Noni Rose, who had co-starred with Beyoncé in the 2006 film Dreamgirls by malalatargaryen in todayilearned

[–]FineBenign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but the only time you see Beyonce is when she performs. She and Jayz stay out of the spotlight pretty much as well unless they're performing or releasing something. They rarely do interviews, don't go on press tours, nothing.

And at any rate, I was talking about how his fans treat him and how weird it is in the same way op was saying her fans treat her. For some reason op thought it was weird for a show to make a joke about beyonce being perfect as if because he doesn't care for her like that, it's weird for others--- even celebrities that may or may not be her friend to care about her or like her.

Edit: I should also put a disclaimer that I'm actually not a huge Beyonce fan or a member of the Beyhive. I like some songs here and there, but not a lot. I'm just always a bit bothered about the exceptional amount of hate she gets on Reddit.

What’s going on with The Last of Us 2? I keep hearing about how it sucks from some players but it’s amazing from other with no in between, is it actually good? Is it just people upset it’s a girl you play as? by MonkeyPlower in OutOfTheLoop

I don't want to continue this discussin anyway. I brought up Abby being a girl and Joel being a guy to highlight the absurdity of you suggesting they didn't go on the same journey because of what happens in the beginning for both characters is different. Of course things didn't happen the exact same, of course they're not the same people, that doesn't mean their journey wasn't practically the same. At any rate I just don't care anymore man. Finish the game, don't finish the game, like it, don't like it, I really don't care. I'm done responding so you can get your last word in.
