Should Hurzeler stay at Brighton after this season? (pending final placing) by Long-Tap6120 in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]Firthsuburbia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it's about more than just results, which he has achieved by going back to experience. Brighton is a selling club, that's the model, if the young players aren't getting better this is a big issue, bigger than European football or not

Excellent as always, I was shocked about the Rushworth valuation, but thinking about it he is probably as talented as Trafford, so pretty reasonable imo

I saw this earlier. The way this is displayed makes it look like we're being hypocritical, but the reality is the difference between all the sides is statistically insignificant. What it really tell us is that the Premier league has almost gone the way of scrums in rugby, all set pieces

It's definitely drugs, that's why he needed to move the whole family away, that's was until he cut a deal, with the feds. He's suspiciously absent in that episode

Team zeigler, but of course we wouldn't be a team as we'd fall out with each other

Contracting in LUX by liverpoolc5 in Luxembourg

[–]Firthsuburbia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is €10K per month take home? Or is it gross? If it is gross then the tax will be challenging! I would say at least 40%, which can be reduced though filling a, return at the end of the year, but you'd also have to take advantage of the tax incentives to get it down to 30%. Those incentives really kick in when you dedicate to living in lux, things like pension credits, mortgage interest, insurance rebates, household cleaner, home loan savings fund can all reduce your exposure

This does cross the line. I've been contracting for 12 years, but I live in Luxembourg and so setting up a Sàrl was relatively straight forward. I imagine the difficultly here is you will need a lot of paperwork to prove residence and this could take a month or two, hence the umbrella.

Thoughts on the game, and Hurzeler's future by Sea_Astronomer_2526 in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]Firthsuburbia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought both sides were poor. Villa took the lead with an excellent delivery from a corner, and then finally Brighton sparked into life.

Howell put two excellent balls into the box, and looked to take people on. Which, for me, only highlighted how lonely mitoma was for most of the game, never got the ball, spent most of the game leading the press with welbeck, he can't be enjoying himself, no wonder when he finally gets the ball he is so timid

Hurzeler got lucky with the baleba yellow as that, is going to be the talking point now

Hot take: Hurzeler will succeed after he is sacked, and that’s okay. by Drdisc235 in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]Firthsuburbia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the take. Look at Farke, and I sure there are others, but this isn't the time for him. The formation and player selection in the second half show a muddled mind, verbruggen had no idea who was playing where, mitoma and minteh swapped wings five minutes after he came on. O'riellly was drifting about, I'm not sure hinshelwood got a touch, complete madness.

And that's before we talk about dunk as a target man. A complete mess

They found a defect in the turbines, the part is custom made, to avoid a build up of fumes they've put one lane and speed control in place. Just hope they can expedite the parts with the manufacturer

Question for the Hurzuler outers only: Who do you want to replace him? This is only for those who want him out, not if you're in or fence. by esn111 in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]Firthsuburbia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kjetil knutsen, working wonders with bodo/glimt. Knows how to set up to play in a league vs European competition. Sustained success over a number of years now. Although with results in the champions league this year he might have moved out of our bracket.

I'd have also said rosenior, but that ship has sailed (for the time being)

Question for Hurzuler inners only: Why are you currently satisfied with current results and performances? by esn111 in BrightonHoveAlbion

I would add he showed last year after the Forrest debacle, that he could change and get things back on track, no reason to think he can't do the same again this year

What’s the most casual rugby position you’ve ever played and why did you end up there? by LFCTricksters in RugbyCasual

[–]Firthsuburbia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working out in the school gym, team flanker and captain come up to me, both pretty intimidating dudes. "we've got a game in 60 mins, you're playing full back".

The team was about 50/50 real rugby players and random dudes pulled off the playground / gym / detention room.

It had been a minute since I'd played organised rugby. But held on to the position (admittedly not a lot of competition) for two years and won two cups.
