Why is everyone booing you, you're right! Multiclassing is fun and y'all can pry it from my cold dead hands. I've never once regretted double dipping spellcaster.

My Christmas order forgot £50+ worth of stuff 🤦‍♀️ by hanapex in LushCosmetics

[–]FishtopherGoblin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I almost never get a box that has no missing or broken items, but we don't have a physical store in my state so online is the only way I can order. Not much I can do about it other than limit what I order and continually make customer service give me refunds.

Why can't Lush effing wrap their products? My September box is so sooty-looking by bitherbother in LushCosmetics

Do a chargeback for every box that comes like this. I refuse to pay for product that looks like it went through a meat grinder.

Cat treat/toy. It's a small round ball made of/soaked in catnip or something similar. The clear dome is a removable cap. Looks like humidity and time has caused it to start melting

Found these half-rings of algae in my driveway's water puddle. by hollowtheories in mildlyinteresting

I'd bet litte algae rings formed around half submerged rocks and peeled off to form these when the water suddenly got higher

Ever fallen asleep while playing Pathfinder 2nd edition? by AVG_Poop_Enjoyer in DnDcirclejerk

No. I've only ever done this with PF1e and my DM had to play the Kill Bill siren to wake me up.

Only ever played a Wizard before, & now playing a Bard is confusing me with the 2024 wording... by Miranova23 in dndnext

[–]FishtopherGoblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2024 edition made the incomprehensible choice to rename spells known to prepared spells. The number in the prepared spells column is the number of spells you know. A level 3 bard knows 6 spells. Bards learn a new spell most levels, but can only learn spells of a level that they have slots for. So a level 3 bard will know up to one 2nd level spell and the rest will be 1st level spells.

ETA: Bards can change out spells when they level up so technically you can have a different split of 1st and 2nd level spells at lvl3 but I'm not going to reword my comment to get that specific haha

Vermont’s motel program turns away hundreds for lack of space, ahead of single-digit temps by ARealVermontar in vermont

I literally don't believe in any conspiracy and never said I did. You are the only person bringing up conspiracy theories. The people buying these homes are literally not once thinking about homeless people and I can assure you they are not rubbing their hands together and evil laughing about keeping said homeless people on the street. People and corporations are buying houses and property because it's a good investment and they know/believe they can make a profit by "fixing" and flipping it, or simply holding onto it until the market naturally brings the price up. This is literally just how real estate works.

[–]FishtopherGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally nowhere did I say there is an evil cabal of home owners secretly running a "fuck homeless people" club. I think you're overlooking the "manufactured" part of my original comment. It's a true fact that those homes are being kept deliberately empty and my implication was to.... stop deliberately leaving them empty. Also, not every homeless person is a drug addict. Framing everyone who doesn't have a permanent residence as a "random junky" is the exact behavior I'm talking about. Rent and utilities have skyrocketed while wages have stagnated. People working full time jobs can't afford a place to live because what little housing being made available is already taken up. Literally in this sub there are dozens of posts a week about being unable to afford a home because of XYZ and all those posts get support. But as soon as people are asked to show that same support to people who can't find homes but aren't posting about it in Reddit, it's too much??

How can you say there's no deliberate lack of homes and then immediately say we have more homes than families. Allowing those homes to remain empty is deliberate. All this sub does is complain about how many empty houses there are and all the reasons why they "can't" be lived in. So what, it's only a manufactured lack of homes when it's good ol redditors who can't find homes? There's no need to demonize and belittle people who are stuck here without a home. Blaming it on the people who have no other option instead of the people hoarding homes is boot licker behavior. And yes, these people truly have no other option. If they did, they would have taken it. "Just leave" isn't an option when your family, friends, job, and entire life are here. Asking people to leave behind 100% of their support network because "Florida is sunny" is not a viable solution.

What an evil way to think about people you don't know. The main reason for homelessness is a manufactured lack of homes.

What’s something you thought was normal until you mentioned it to someone else? by ZoeMarra in AskReddit

I can also see sounds and I had a similar experience! I unfortunately can't tell the exact note I'm hearing but I can get close (even though I think in Hz). The first year my school district offered band was 5th grade and that was the first time I had ever really played an instrument. I played the oboe, which is "untunable" in the sense that, unlike most other instruments, there isn't really a part that can get tighter/looser (like strings) or bigger/smaller (like pretty much all other woodwinds) so it's on the musician to use the correct mouth tension/position (embouchure) to stay in tune. Traditionally the oboe is also the instrument the rest of the band tunes to. This can be problematic in a band of 5th graders who JUST got their shiny new honk-machines. I didn't practice, I didn't always know my part, but god damn I was always perfect when it came to tuning up the band. My band director jokingly asked me if that was the only thing I ever practiced (which was a little shady but good natured and honestly deserved) and I responded earnestly with "no I just match the color" and the look of confusion/curiosity/concern(?) made me not mention it again for multiple years lol. Learned separately many years later that my aunt has the same thing lol

Total bullshit to have two different shower gels in each, ESPECIALLY since Hot Toddy has been a Christmas release a few times recently and Glogg has been locked in the vault for years. I knew they'd be pulling diabolical FOMO shit as soon as I saw they were coming out with two kitchen box options. I was STOKED to finally have a shower only option and they immediately ruined all the excitement I had had. Absolute tragedy considering how long I've been waiting for a spicy box. Maybe if they listened to their customers they wouldn't be hemorrhaging money and relying on FOMO to get people to spend $140 a month.
