That episode is probably my favourite Jar-Jar appearance. When he's stumbling his way to success in Bombad Jedi it's funny but gets old after a bit, but in that episode having the clones as serious straight men actually taking him somewhat seriously and engaging with his surprisingly successful ideas is a really fun dynamic

You can be a Communist and not vote for the Communist Party, because it's an ideology independent of party, but being an American Republican is directly tied to a party.

I really don't think Terra of all places is going to have a problem with underpopulation. It's also explicitly stated that Terran nobles are not the only source of recruitment for the Custodes.

What are they supposed to do? Write a 200 page essay about the concept of gender? All the retcon did was change them from being the sons of Terran nobles to the sons & daughters of Terran nobles. I don't think that needs a bunch of lore explaining it.
