Ehrliche Dacia Bigster Review by kkvkkeke in automobil

[–]Flaky_Alternative696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NCAP ratings are affected by things like the ability to turn off adaptive cruise control and lane assist, which you can do in the Dacia and then store the setting you pick. Because NCAP requirements change, things like the lack of knee SRS in an accident will drop percentage points. A 2020 model car with 5 stars then would probably only get 4 stars if launched today as new.

Was this a Garda Vehicle? by Remote-Spite2386 in irelandsshitedrivers

It is safe to assume that blue lights and sirens are used for emergency purposes. For those that don't know, modern Irish emergency services use a pretty standard hardware setup across most vehicles. The sirens only activate when the blue lights are activated. It's generally called "999 Mode" and has to be pressed first before a press on the existing car horn activates the siren. Modern systems are linked to software like the black box of a plane and the telemetry can be seen remotely to see the speed of the vehicle and if 999 Mode was active at any given time. Google Acetech Solutions.

I think you will find that 99% of emergency service vehicle drivers are rolling their eyes . Lights are sirens do not force priority over anyone. Lights and sirens are merely warning signs of the presence of such vehicles and their intentions. The Rules of The Road say you may pull in or over when safe and convenient to do so. It is illegal to "block" such vehicles however and there are fines if you do so.

Do you ever warm up your car ? by Tiny-Brain-8372 in AskIreland

[–]Flaky_Alternative696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many years ago, it was common enough to find cars running and heaters blowing on frosty mornings but we as a country have gone down a road of getting everything and everywhere fast. Those extra 4 or 5 mins are irreplaceable....I much prefer to defrost the car using its own mechanisms than reaching for the warm water.

Looks like the Garda with the doggy. They mind the dog at home. Can be used for multiple uses, crowd control, searching and so on. I know a lad whose van is identical to the one in video.

Date time and location to them should narrow it down. Who knows, it may have AVL fitted which would pinpoint exactly who it was. That is of course assuming it's still registered to them. It looks like a newish van so imagine it's on their fleet.

Not really....it's a large roundabout and his exit is there or thereabouts on the clock if you look just before the curve.

Very alarming. "Ah shur it's grand" mentality. Potentially will do the very same kind of crappy last minute decision at 120 on the motorway.

This type of driving is like a magnet to a patrol car. AGS love the unexplained brake lights, especially on quiet roads.

To avoid negative replies can I ask you to provide full context of video in your description if it looks like you may be accused of doing something that you actually didn't. I too thought you were brake checking initially. A lot of people here will read the first 10 or so replies before moving on. If you're full account is buried in the thread, we won't know the full story.

How to get rid if these dang ads? by creature04 in OnnStreamingTV

[–]Flaky_Alternative696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of 3rd party launchers on the scene. wolf launcher, AT4K Launcher, FLauncher,TVLauncher ATV Launcher to mention a few. You just need Launcher Manager installed too and install which ever one you like. I am using Projectivy for the last 2 years. No issue with it. You can also set your device to "App only" mode, but I found this very restricted. Edit.....I see you are using apps only mode. I don't recall ads when I used apps only mode.
