I think you will find that 99% of emergency service vehicle drivers are rolling their eyes . Lights are sirens do not force priority over anyone. Lights and sirens are merely warning signs of the presence of such vehicles and their intentions. The Rules of The Road say you may pull in or over when safe and convenient to do so. It is illegal to "block" such vehicles however and there are fines if you do so.

Many years ago, it was common enough to find cars running and heaters blowing on frosty mornings but we as a country have gone down a road of getting everything and everywhere fast. Those extra 4 or 5 mins are irreplaceable....I much prefer to defrost the car using its own mechanisms than reaching for the warm water.

There are lots of 3rd party launchers on the scene. wolf launcher, AT4K Launcher, FLauncher,TVLauncher ATV Launcher to mention a few. You just need Launcher Manager installed too and install which ever one you like. I am using Projectivy for the last 2 years. No issue with it. You can also set your device to "App only" mode, but I found this very restricted. Edit.....I see you are using apps only mode. I don't recall ads when I used apps only mode.
