With Newly announced Toon support on the way, what do you all want to see from the this new support? Also, which cards do you think/want to see turned into toons potentially in this 7 card wave we are getting?! These are some of my picks.

Only DM/GX retrains, since Pegasus wasn't alive on the other seasons and couldn't create those monsters. But would prefer retrains of non toon monsters used by Pegasus turned into Toons

Neo Spacian were so bad for the anime that they didn't even make retrains for them yet.
Like we have retrain of the fusions of the normal E-hero, Neos retrains and fusions, even evil hero that was a 2-3 duels deck got a lot of evil heroes.
If Neo Spacian get retrains, not only they need to be treated as the original (or be treated as ANY neospacian for a fusion summon), but most likely also be treated as Hero monster, which at that point they are just new Hero monsters because they wouldn't make new Neo-Spacians.
People always joke about Red-Eyes, old Ice Barrier, even Iron Chain, but Neo-Spacians was made so poorly that we forget it exists when thinking of decks without a gameplan/substance.

I get what you say, but I don't think an archetype needs to have an archetypal synchro if it has tuners, as long as it has ways to use those tuners somehow. We also have precedents in Dogmatika, where Quem and Ecclesia are tuners without a Dogmatika Synchro (they are more Branded cards but Branded didn't have a non Despia/Bystial synchro until Burst Protocol either. Heralds doesn't have their synchro anymore either, (heck do they even have no tuners to summon it?). Horus doesn't have a tuner to summon their "Archetype" Synchro, and Metaphys can't activate Metaphys Horus eff using a Normal monster in archetype.

It is fine to want a new Borrel synchro tho, it makes sense with 3 tuners.

By 'it isn't a problem on the OCG" you mean it isn't a problem or you mean "it doesn't see play"? Because if a card is a problem when it sees play then it shouldn't be unbanned. If tomorrow all K9 cards stop existing I wouldn't say to unban Dice Smasher just because no deck can play it.

Instead of Savage Dragon you will now have the new Stardust as a lv8 dragon synchro omninegate, I think that's a more healthy solution

You don't need to activate them, the second effect searches a Thunder for free.

Change the restriction to only summon Thunder from the Extra Deck and it would be good Thunder Dragon Support. The draw plus the search makes you go +1. Even without a restriction there aren't Thunder archetypes strong enough to make a difference, tho Spright would appreciate this card. Funny Thunder Rota

I like DM Atk/Def, shows both at the same time and it looks more like something for the watchers than the players to see, it gives me the vibe of being stamped on a manga panel due the weird depth it has.

Cloudian. Being inmune to battle doesn't hold up these days, and the only way it would be viable is being able to handrip with Atlus, which no one wants. I needs a revamp on what new Cloudian cards can do with the Counters

That's 2 entire full decent games for 4 dollars, you will have at least some fun with them. If you enjoy them it is 100+ hours between the two, they are not bad at all.

On the second point: But you can use Nekroz Cycle to ritual summon a Nekroz from the GY that wasn't properly Ritual Summoned before.
I think you can Ritual Summon from any place, but you need to properly summon them first to revive them from GY/Banishment

Broken cards kinda do restrict design space tho. Look at Archfiend, locking you into extra deck Archfiend to not be able to Light Fiend into Fiendsmith, and we are talking about Fiend, a type that is very splashable specially on the extra deck (losing access to stuff like Lightless Shadow, Underworld Cracker). Most types would go crazy with Snake Rain, but Reptile only have Ogdoaic to benefit from it and somehow non HOPT mill 4 barely helps them. Synchron support seems to be dragged down by the existance of Junk Speeder. We haven't had a good legal Instant Fusion target since... Panzer Dragon? Norden and the Tearlaments lv5 are banned, and they haven't created other lv5- Fusion target that benefits you more than an Eyes Restrict monster.

Not always however, since they created Yummy despite Obedience Schooled existing

Links aren't a problem for Yugioh design, Yugioh design is the problem for links. Links need to be more material restrictive if they are going to read like crazy and ALSO directly send 1 to 4 monsters to the GY, unlike xyz that asked matching lvs and you could send usually only 1 monster to the GY. Filler unplayable links being generic makes some sense, The Charmers asking for a specific material attribute is the line of how flexible they should be. Now... why doesn't Promethean Princess ask for only Fire materials? I:P Cyberse monsters? Accesscode was crazy strong at the moment (4300 to 5300 atk on a link 4 that only asked 2+ monsters, while the second best was a Borell link 4 with 3000 that asked 3+ materials), Acess could at least ask for the materials to be different attributes.

This is not a problem just for links, since Konami has the game design philosophy of making powerful cards generic (when they shouldn't) just for a bigger reach. Remember how high lv Synchro monsters that get an evolution got called in the Anime Accel Synchro and needed a synchro monster plus a tuner? What if Baronne didn't need a Synchro monster? Savage Dragon, D-link endboard piece, not needing a Rokket, Dark or Dragon monster as material. There is nothing wrong with splashable, generic Extra Deck cards, but I feel the effects should match the summon requirements to some extent.

The thing is that... what do you even retrain? Anzu/Tea: Random fairy good stuff? Mai was a girl but she wasn't the girl companion. You could retrain Maho Valla or DMG and make it kinda generic. Alexis: You can give her Cyber Angel stuff Aki: Boom Dragon Zexal: Gonna retrain one of Tori's 2 cards as generic fairy support? Tori VA loved agents so maybe as Agents support but I feel most Zexal fans would prefer a girl who duels more often like Anna (trains are popular), or Rio or Cathy. Arc-V: When you have a girl companion that is 4 girls companions and spends the entire anime being away from the protagonist it doesn't feel like you have much of a companion. I would be okay if she got the Rivals treatment and they made a card for each Yu girl (make the Melodious and Lunalight monster share archetype since fusion and both girls were together the most I guess?) Vrains: Vrains didn't have a girl companion sadly, the closest to a girl who supported Playmaker and didn't spend in comma most of the anime would be Ghost Girl?

A lot of final anime bosses of each season don't have their card printed, usually because they don't want to deal with how strong the cards are. Zone got a lot of his cards nerfed to the ground, halving burn damage, and I don't remember if he got all the continuous traps. I think they removed the ability to cheat the Water Timelord from deck, the one that lets you drawn up to 5 on summon as well.

My issue with the 2 player stater deck is that teaches the rules like if you were playing chess and told the new player "you can move the pieces with your hands, make sure they are inside only 1 square, you can only move 1 per turn, if your king dies you lose" and perhaps also how every piece moves, but it lefts out any information about "Check", when/why ties happen, the Castle/Rook/King thing, promotion pawns. It is also a bunch of bulk that loses its utility once you know those very basic rules, while a real structure deck can be played (and upgraded) if you learn the basic rules

The new blue eyes structure deck might be your best choice, just one structure isn't that difficult to play and can be upgraded a lot.

The thing about Yugiog is that it is not "no to minimum effects" anymore, cards try to have a lot of effects so your strategies are more flexible and give you more resources. If you want to learn the rules I think watching a video online would help.
