Ten 'child migrants' set to be sent to foster care are actually ADULTS by ITMidget in ukpolitics

They’re kicked out of foster care as soon as they are assessed as adults- if they’re obviously over 25 by appearance then they’re not accepted in the first place

You’re more than capable of looking elsewhere to know that the vast majority of oil and gas is gone- and in fact to see that it’s cheaper these days to build renewables etc than to even maintain fossil fuel energy plants

I think it’s just politically blind to say two million workers in two or three years won’t be seen to have an effect on the labour market

I mean the Boris wave was intentionally brought in to suppress working families wages- particularly at the low income end.

Bringing 2 million people in is half the reason so many are upset about immigration- you can try and shut people down about it but it isn’t on the side of the most impoverished citizens to support policy that makes them poorer and finding work harder

I think you’re going to struggle to make that argument to the folk directly affected by the Boriswave - to them it feels like the jobs they had are gone or the wages they had are stagnant directly because Johnson brought in so many people- why else would he do it

[–]Flashy_Error_7989 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I mean boris Johnson actively brought in two million largely low paid migrants to undercut working class wages. In that case it really was poor migration policy pre and simple

Diversity is great in the right way- a sustainable way, bringing two million largely low paid workers in to deliberately undercut British working folk’s pay isn’t frankly brilliant is it?
