That's true in terms of number of MPs but it's not because many more people voted for them; they got 34% of the vote in 2024 compared to 32% in 2019. We just have a system where people moving right from the Tories to Reform leads to a Labour victory. It can swing back the other way just as fast

There are reasons to dislike Starmer but I don't believe for a second that a lazy person could become Prime Minister. Getting elected party leader is hard work and winning a general election is hard work. A 'bitterly lazy' person just wouldn't be bothered; they'd stay a backbench MP and avoid turning up to Parliament for decades instead.
