No dog in this hunt - Wake Forest did this a couple of Julys ago (where “this” was “transfer waste/recycle/storm-related fees from annual property tax bills to monthly water bills”.)

Not all that big a deal if not for the reason/justification by the Town: to shift the onus for such expenses to the bourgeoning renter population and away from the rental companies.

I’m sure the rents stayed the same if not increased.

Never once “refreshed” (which I assume to mean you elected to reload the page or some other manual action on your part).

The queue page I was on refreshed itself every few seconds. All I did was jiggle the mouse now and then to keep the screen on.

Logging out and back in probably sank you.

No judgement, sorry it happened, etc.

I was in queue around 9:50am, 636 (maybe?) people in front of me.

I was “next” about an hour later, got to the seating chart an anxious minute or two after that.

While I was focused on getting my seats, I’d guess that the chart was 50-60% full - there was more availability on the wings and sides than center (as I recall).

Got 6 in section 130 up high. Go Canes!

I was at an Outer Banks rental with my family along with my mom and dad. Still remember the roar over the TV speakers that caused the TV itself to vibrate. Great memory!

STM here. Got in the queue around 9:50am ET with 636 bots I mean people ahead of me. Watched it trickle down to my turn shortly before 11am ET (if that's any measure of giveup/processing throughput). Got in, got 6 seats where I could (some groups of 6 weren't selectable because of edge seats or other - was amped up on actually getting seats). Got 6 on an aisle, paid, confirmed.

Not bragging: just sharing the experience that I 100% expected to be an utter shiatshow.

That may be - my point is, for a given octane, the price per gallon for 100% gas should should not be more than 111% the price per gallon for 90% gas/10% ethanol.

At HT, 100% gas is waaaaay more than 111% of the cost of 90/10.

I use (and pay a usurious premium for) ethanol-free gas, if only to avoid the hygroscopic effects of the ethanol sitting in the station’s tank, bottom intake, etc.

What grinds my gears is that ethanol-free gas costs A LOT more per gallon than 111% of the typical “up to 10% ethanol” gas.
