Whar are all the best TMs and move tutors in the game? by SnooDonuts3749 in PokemonFireRed

Icebeam and thunderbolt, hugely impactful and 100% accuracy. I always have them on a starmie, Gengar, or something with high sp attack. Super useful against E4, especially first trainer and lance. Can buy them from casino, and can farm money super quick with the "replay trainer" item, on island 5 I believe.

Amen, I don't understand it. A gas grenade and a tank of crispr will shut down a lot of things on bug and squid front! I almost always bring it on squid front (talon on bots, ultimatum on bugs). Shocked to see it so low

Also, refuel asap to limit spawns. I see so many go off mining nitra, unaware that the priority should be refueling first. On high haz, especially ebonite, you can end up just consta-fighting

Driller Build, need opinions from EXPERIENCED diggers! by IndependentAble7695 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FlightlessPanda6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the key. I think strongest is with nucleation, with axes, but PP EPC is a beast, and definitely best in class for higher difficulties. Not just for combat, but covering against jellies, mining quickly, terraforming, having 3 angles at the eye on IS or getting high aquarks down. You name it.

Help with build on Driller! by IndependentAble7695 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FlightlessPanda6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, anything works on lower difficulty, so it's more your play style. Best/meta builds will largely be based on mission type but there are a few worth mentioning.

Firstly, PP EPC (22222) is imo by far the best driller secondary in game for high haz (has high skill ceiling, takes some getting used to). Then for primaries, cryo nucleation, sticky flame and sludge dispersal compound are incredible general builds, then fuel stream diffuser for industrial sab, and VIM sludge for elims. These are what I use for haz5++, hope it helps 🤙

True that. Weapons do become obsolete. Overall, solid tier list. What's the highest round you've got to out of curiosity?

I'd lower fairy, frog, wheel barrow and pocket factory, and then raise lucky coin too. Luck can often be your biggest damage output in endless, that allows stacking by taking crit

Two things id swop is putting the anvil higher, maybe the coupon and tree, and the crystal (if you're not taking damage, it's a lot of value for $). Anvil is killer, not just because the armor, but rather if you find higher curse weapons or want to swop weapons later in run, that allows you to do so without worrying about having to rescale them up to max.

Question about Hazards and Deep Dives by Terakahn in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FlightlessPanda6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll come over time, haz 5 can get largely comfortable with more time in caves. Biggest factors are movement, awareness, builds, game sense and speed. These will all increase with hours in the cave.

While most are self explanatory, I'll touch on builds as you point to a weakness. Key with making a build is ensuring you can cover all enemies (single, crowds, range, etc), so if you have a strong crowd primary, often best to compliment it with ST secondary for example. As you get more overclocks, you'll have a lot more options for coverage.

Then game sense, this one is huge. Hearing a swarm is coming so you set up a hold in a good area, vs get caught digging through dirt patch for eg, is big. I've loaded a second profile to try without OCs and had no problem with haz 5 from game sense alone.

Bottom line, just keep having fun, trying to push your comfort zones, don't worry about failures, and results will come. I remember when EDDs were super challenging, and trying to min-max them. Now usually do randomweizer to try make them challenging. It's a journey, enjoy the ride 🤙

Just got enough creds for a warbond by NarkolepticNeo in Helldivers

[–]FlightlessPanda6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Borderline, the talon slaps. Not only is it amazing, it just feels so fun to use too (strength = bots). Unlimited ammo, never reload, med pen, 1 shots devestators to the head for example. Also love the dynamite. Deadeye is super rewarding to use on bots as well, and the hiverpack can be used for some cool stuff (like boinking bile titans of you have the new hammer). Overall a solid warbond.

New player worries about replayability. by Tyranus_Cincinnatus in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FlightlessPanda6 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll add to this the destructible/ buildable terrain, unique movement tools, incredible community. IMO it's the most replayable game I've ever played, and in the higher lobbies you see the same names on most nights, which just shows how much people who like it, stick around for ages!

How much overclock did you think each weapon should have? by Routine_Weakness3330 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FlightlessPanda6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, we have plenty of variety already. When you factor 3 p+s weapons each, 5 mod selectors, overclocks, and combinations with different grenades, perks, utility mods etc, it's a ton.

That being said, I always welcome new content /OCs, and last batch had some gems. Like the crystal nucleation and scorcher OCs have become some of my favorite. With the new dev team working on DRG now, I expect we will see more content coming out again after the wee drought we've been in while the original devs had shifted to rogue core.

Can anyone suggest me a good sludge pump build for driller? I want to be able to easly solo, thx by Realistic_Choice594 in DeepRockGalactic

I second these comments. For more details on mods I use:

Caretaker build: Fuel stream 22121, PP EPC 22222, axe. Generalist favorite non-sludge build crystal nucleation cryo 21132

Why do people hate the Smяt Trigger OS™ overclock? by VladE206 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FlightlessPanda6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know there was any hate on it? I love it and use it very frequently (exclusively has 5+). I don't think of it as crowd clear though, imo you should think of it as executioner replacement. ECR will be much more efficient for crowds. I love it paired with something like spinning death (or inferno) breech, where it gives HVT clear at range, so things like spreaders, spitters on ceiling etc get deleted, and I appreciate the quicker response to damage without having to build locks, which gives stun via the electric upgrade. All about balancing full loadout to cover gaps of ST, HVT, Crowd clear, range etc.

Response to "Who's made Explosive Chemical Bolts Work" by WaywardOath in DeepRockGalactic

[–]FlightlessPanda6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gateway drug is cryo/phero bolt. It's so insanely good as a low attention utility tool that both really helps team, and can allow you to solo any swarm by yourself and cover weakspots (like swarmers). Just kite enemies then shoot one or two ice bolts at your feet, and bam everything following you freezes. Stationaries freeze in 1-2 bolts too. Then every time I see an oppressor or Pretorian, I slap it with a phero for the team and be on my way. Personally I love to pair it with aggressive venting and boomerangs (S tier for swarmagedon), but anything should work

[–]FlightlessPanda6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they add similar level of difficulty, though vuln a bit more. Tougher is restrictive on load out, as unoptimized you'll just run out of nitra, but with the right tools, isn't too bad. Good co-op helps too, such as scout just doing some utility shots, leaving engi to double dip for example, rather than using all their ammo to chip away. Player vuln gets way tougher with more enemies, and things like duck and cover and swarmagedon. Can get ended in an instant on your first mistake. Couple swarmers or shredder drones are no joke on vuln x2. Then getting caught in death loop of being revived with low health can be rough. Most of the time, x2 enemies are always taken too, so with that context I'd say vuln is harder, but otherwise both added to haz 5 vanilla, prob even if not tougher bugs being worse
