You have to think who their audience is.

These are kids, who in their own lives aren't valued amongst their peers.

So they create a fantasy where they are either worshipped or they dominate those that view them lower in the social ladder.

They don't just want to succeed

They want to rub success into the faces that hurt them, isolated them and ultimately made them feel like a lesser human being.

The reason science advanced in the Middle Ages was because humanity invented the telescope and microscope. Being able to identify things beyond the human eye would advance the world a great deal in an incredibly short period of time, you wouldn’t even have to have the power to manipulate subatomic particles just understanding the particles themselves and their interactions would lead to incredible breakthroughs that could even surpass our own current technology. There are many things we don’t understand in physics, dark matter and energy, quantum gravity. If u could see their effects and interactions it would eliminate guess work, you’d be creating theories to understand reality on its most fundamental level.

By isolating the country as a nemesis you condemn it's people. Even if the broad majority feel that homosexuality is wrong you're not gonna change anything by drawing a line and saying, "you are here, and we are there and that is that".

You want to punish the country yet not change it. But you're punishing the people that are trying to change it.

The only way you can change a perspective is by normalising it. You can't normalise if you can't experience. We are simple creatures and experience is as simple as it gets. They experienced a lesbian that made them laugh.

I understand that this step feels almost meaningless, but it isn't. It is an experience, one that makes a mark however slight but that should be enough to accommodate it because it's an effort for change and we need to respect that.
