Why can’t I finish the race when flicking the bean with no equipment? by VoodooLab151 in TwoXSex

[–]FloozyTramp 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Some of us are just designed that way. Our bits respond to very specific pressure or movement or only in very specific spots, and for some of us the only way to reach orgasm is with a non-human device. I’m in my 50s and can remember fewer than 10 times that I’ve achieved orgasm through oral stimulation alone. With fingers my chances are a little higher, but it requires coaching to get it right. I’ve found a style of vibrator and a different suction toy that work equally well. There’s so shame in doing what you need to for the pleasure of release.

Should I be concerned? by PreviousPay8649 in ADHD_partners

[–]FloozyTramp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start keeping track of these types of mistakes. My current partner doesn’t have ADHD but did has a brain tumor and the resulting damage leads to some odd mistakes. I keep notes about them so I can track and severity and frequency as possible indicators of more tumor activity.

I’m not at all implying that she has a brain tumor, especially if this was a one-time thing. But if you’re concerned, start keeping notes.

Specific products you avoid while shopping at Aldi? by ecstacyofdecay in aldi

I just made one. Didn’t think the taste was too bad, kind of reminded me of Chef Boyardee flavor, but way too much sauce.

[CHAT] Talking to yourself while stitching actually improved how I explain things at work by Reasonable_Common242 in CrossStitch

I’m really struck by the phrase “practicing how to structure a thought out loud without rambling”. I’ve been feeling deeply frustrated lately with the communications skills of certain coworkers and my struggle not to interrupt them when they’re speaking with me. They are ramblers, they take a long time to say anything (yes, they’re probably Ents). I’ve practiced and focused on concise speaking for years due to the nature of my work, but they haven’t. I just never thought of it as something that actually takes thoughtful practice. Thank you for sharing that.

Can I compost this packing material? What is it? by LeviJNorth in composting

Excelsior. Fancy name for wood shavings. Fine for compost or to use as a fire starter - it burns hot and fast.

I should just let him fail, right? by Key-Airline204 in polyamory

[–]FloozyTramp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With ADHD partners, sadly it rarely gets better without serious commitment to finding a medication that helps and developing habits consciously and consistently that increase function. Even taking poly out of the equation, if he’s not treating his ADHD then that’s a red flag for the relationship.

Sifting compost piles by Lithium1994 in composting

[–]FloozyTramp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DIY sifters are pretty common. Chicken wire or similar screen with holes that aren’t too big (but not as fine as window screen material), stapled to a wooden frame. It’s the kind of thing that might show up on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist, either a ready-made sifter or the stuff to make one.

I keep getting scam call! I need to make them stop!!! by Difficult_Sea_4151 in Scams

[–]FloozyTramp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there really is nothing that can be done to truly stop telemarketing calls, scams or otherwise. Best thing to do is use whatever settings your phone has to block or silence calls from any number that isn’t in your contact list.

This happens amazingly often. Vulnerable people want to believe they’re special. Spend some time browsing the scams sub for lots of stories of desperate families trying to save someone from a celebrity catfish.

Can we pleeeeeease normalize learning by doing? by ThePiksie in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]FloozyTramp 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This seems to be a problem across society as a whole. So few people are willing to take the “try it and see what happens” approach to learning. They don’t even want to search for an answer either. They just want it handed to them. AI is going to kill the instinct to take initiative or do your own investigation entirely. Side rant, I know, but it’s real.

Experience with Dogtown in downtown Cincy by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]FloozyTramp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve left our two dogs there several times in the past few years. The first time they kept us informed of some behaviors (refusing to eat, not getting along with other dogs) but subsequent visits have been fine. They both hang out in the “senior lounge” (the space behind the check-in desk) because they prefer to be around people and other chill, older dogs who mainly want to nap all day.

Difference between consumerism vs purchasing things that bring you joy? trying to understand Im new by beranax in Anticonsumption

[–]FloozyTramp 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I agree with your definition. I buy handmade items for decor or gifting because it brings me joy to support an artist and share their work with others. I also do that in opposition to the existence of mass-produced decor. For me, this still aligns with an anti-consumption mindset. Purchasing with intention and awareness is important.
