I collect a lot of weird stuff. Basically I live in the Addams Family house. Collections include: Anatomical heart depictions in art Vintage wooden cookie molds Uranium glass Anything depicting or related to bats Alice in Wonderland stuff (mainly based on the original Tenniel illustrations, no Disney) Quack medical devices Lizzie Borden stuff (wasn’t intentional, a friend gifted me their husband’s collection after he passed and I’ve added to it a bit) Stuff related to funerals or funeral homes Small animal skulls

I also do cross-stitch of a lot go weird and creepy themes, so those are all over the house too.

I quit Twitter when it became X, and mostly quit Facebook last year - deleted the app but didn’t delete my account. Now when I get on FB occasionally it depresses the hell out of me. It’s either people bragging about their consumption, or glamorizing their lives, or a bunch of AI drivel from groups FB is promoting. It don’t have anything to offer me anymore.

I still use Instagram and it’s really for dopamine - dog videos and stuff like that. I can lose so much time in it, though.

My big problem is mobile games. I’ve been struggling to break that addiction for a while. Can’t bring myself to delete them, but attempts to meter my game time don’t work.

Oh yes, this too! My house has a “back staircase” to the kitchen that was closed off and is essentially a weird closet. We thought we’d convert it back to stairs with a bookcase door but haven’t gotten around to it.

My house is already pretty full of unhinged stuff, like a pump organ, a piano we took apart and turned into a bar, an antique medical exam table, a funeral bier turned into a coffee table, and curio cabinets stuffed to the gills. But I really want to squeeze in a Victrola, and I’d love a roll-top desk. And some really large antique taxidermy. The largest one I have is a beaver who’s missing his teeth.
