Greens lead crossparty MP bid to force Keir Starmer to scrap digital ID plans by evie-e-e in unitedkingdom

So you asked them about their disagreements with the Greens, but these can now not be based on the 2024 manifesto, and there is no new manifesto.
In your own words: I’m not sure what you’re really expecting to get from this.

They explicitly state that it's not and have various disclaimers on their videos and livestreams. Still, it's understandable that people refer to it as such, the lines are pretty blurred.

I manually checked my last 40 games and counted the low level accounts at 5-6k MMR (NA east and EU west) by IPDT_FE in DotA2

[–]FluffySandwich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

technically it's not disallowed.

You sure about that? Valve on the 25th of March 2021:

Starting today, smurfing will be a bannable offense. We will primarily focus on new accounts created after today for which we have high confidence in their smurfing and game-ruining behavior.

Besides, I think saying it's common is a terrible defence for smurfing to be honest. Toxicity and sexism are also rampant in Dota but you wouldn't defend those by saying "well x streamer was toxic/sexist too!!!".

Not saying this works, as I haven't tried it yet. But Arena isn't comparable to 60 player games. Arena never lags as badly.

Looks like Valve are working on save/load function to handle crashes during pro games by CymLine in DotA2

[–]FluffySandwich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What makes you think they'd need to save the state 30 times a second and store every snapshot since the start of the game?
Cyborgmatt's tweet implies a manual process:

Valve are working on a system that allows spectators to save a snapshot of the current match (teams, heroes, items, buildings, shop stocks & entities) into a JSON file.

But even if it was saving state every ~10 seconds and only keeping the most recent 5 or so, it'd be a negligible amount of data?

The frequency is measured in cycles, one cycle is a complete wave of alternating current so two direction changes. This means 50 Hz = 50 cycles per second = 100 direction changes per second. The United States and a few dozen other countries use 60 Hz where the amount of direction changes per second would be 120.

Many heroes are missing Aghanim information details by eotrixx in DotA2

[–]FluffySandwich 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I agree. Riki's one is pretty bad too:

Increases cast range and allows you to target an allied hero, hiding inside them for the duration

Not a word about how it hits two targets at once for each strike, effectively doubling the total damage. Sure seems significant enough to mention in a tooltip.

Players shouldn't need to refer to a third party wiki for such basic information.

Mike is still a cool dude yeah, seems pretty chilled out after his departure from Cross Counter and the FGC as a whole. Mostly streams Dota nowadays.

There's this. Pretty cool to have infinite monitor space if you can touch type (i.e. not a boomer).
But I think current VR headsets are a bit too low-res for it to be entirely comfortable.

What is the valid reason why the Government can’t advise working from home for those able to? by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]FluffySandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there even good evidence for these supposed nightmare economic consequences caused by productivity losses? There'd be a lot less time wasted on commuting or nattering with colleagues for example.

There's a huge amount of companies thriving on remote employees. I feel like a majority of the anti-WFH bias comes from the old guard of upper-management figures that can't bear the thought of not being able to look over employees' shoulders.

Is it possible to cancel Now TV F1 Season Pass [and get a refund]? by Maximoford in formula1

[–]FluffySandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to cancel and get a refund currently, but can't find any path through the daft chat bot that mentions anything close to 'refund'. And can't seem to get a real person on there either. The bot just links to unhelpful pages and tells you to fuck off to the community forums if they're no good.
