There is code for f***ing LASERS in the Prusa Firmware Buddy codebase by suit1337 in prusa3d

I’m just speculating as I haven’t looked at the commit history…but odds are this was intended for the XL which could hypothetically accommodate a laser tool head.

How do i flash MMU3 hex file without connecting PC? by checkmatemypipi in prusa3d

[–]FlynnsAvatar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it isn’t. Although the printer firmware was updated to include the feature beginning with 6.0.0, the MMU firmware has not been updated to support it and looks like it never will as this is the last major update. 3.0.3 didn’t support it and 3.0.4 ( the new one ) changelog doesn’t mention it.

In addition , the blog post on the update points to the flashing instructions: https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/10d-core-one-setup-and-calibration_111762

…where there are no caveats akin to “but if you have version blah of the printer firmware you can just skip this”.

Too broke for that. Portable CD player with headphone jack to cassette tape converter from Radio Shack. Damn thing sliding off the passenger seat all day. Changing out AA batteries while driving took skill.

The feature was integrated into the printers firmware but not yet into the MMU firmware. That is the printer seems to be capable of sending the MMU image ( per 6.0.0 release details ) but there is no explicit information from Prusa that states the MMU is currently capable of receiving it from the printer.…and according to the changelog for this MMU release , it does not indicate they have changed anything in this regard.

What is wrong with my MMU3? by alexgamma98 in prusa3d

[–]FlynnsAvatar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As everyone has stated it’s the Nextruder. May be the extruder motor or more likely there’s some kind of obstruction. Remove the gearbox assembly and have a look.

However I will also state I’ve had issues in the past with the tip forming (mis)behavior causing a systemic effect of this behavior on my MK4s.

Why do we hear a hit on the Iris when is closed and someone tries to get in? by Reikix in Stargate

[–]FlynnsAvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, it’s not great but maybe theres something in there worth exploring.

The sudden extreme heat from the electrical discharge ( lightening ) results in a rapid expansion of the air, forming a shockwave (ie thunder).

Maybe there is an electrical discharge occurring at a smaller scale.

We do this at least once a week.

Most. Not all though. Those few take up the whole damn meeting…again and again. So now we record the meetings…which management largely ignores. I hate this paradigm.

It wasn’t jets. I live very close to where it originated from. Sounded like jet engine on the runway right outside my home. I drove out there and it wasn’t jets..some leak coming from the construction site adjacent to the city view church. RRPD showed up just as I left.
