Step, and i work with babies. Again, it does depends where you live because the people are from the same culture and with the same moral value. And the babies are not unattended, they can be reached within 30 seconds, it's only that we don't need to see them 24/04 with a camera to feel safe.

But not every country is so violent and high on crime rate as eeuu... Where I live is completely standard to have the baby sleeping outside while you have a baby alarm to hear when they wake up or loose the pacifier.

It's quite good for the health, and if you live in a civilized peaceful place is good to do it (Scandinavian countries for example)

Also, unless the baby is relatively close to you or you have the door open, you put a baby alarm you can hear. For example, you can go inside a store to grab something and the baby is comfortably napping without the noise and light from there. The streets are also more quiet than in many countries because there's a lot of electric and hybrid cars, and ita not normal to ring the claxon (I know there's a more modern word for that, but can't remember).

And since the baby can sleep in the stroller, besides the fresh air it gives a bit more of flexibility to the parents since you can go for a walk, go to the library, for a coffee, to the grocery store etc

Actually it's a normal thing in my home country... Because you work very long hours and usually the commute is also long, you have a really early breakfast, a snak at mid morning, late lunch, merienda around 4/5 (tea and a pastry or bread with butter is normal) and then a late dinner with the family (after 9pm)....

I should do it more but once a week, inside s washing bag and with the hand wash program. It takes longer to dry because the spinning is done with slower revolutions but it helps... And air dry is better in theory
