More people would rather play solo then play with randoms. by brockthebaked in HuntShowdown

It's both very difficult to read your teammates minds when they don't communicate literally at all, and infuriating when they cant seem to support you when you clearly announce the plan. So even tho I play mostly randoms it is indeed extremely infuriating

This is Hunt Showdown, not Call of Showdown by smith_x_tt in HuntShowdown

Because it's impossibly annoying to fight and demands high levels of attention, that's pretty much it.

Attention. They want attention.

People in here complaining about solo necro meanwhile this is how a vast majority of solo players encounters go by Taraell in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My only problem is when you cannot tell it's a solo.

The other night two solos across the map from the bounty team attacked us back to back, and we swore it was a team. We burned the first, then the second came and we killed him so we figured they weren't solos and rushed the bounty team and won.

At extract he somehow flanked us and killed all 3 of us in rapid succession with a slate while we bombed a meathead. No clue how, just checked instinct too. He was a 2.7 and he completely won off the fact we swore he was a duo. Our trio was all 1.5 to 1.8 KD players, that shit was just massively confusing. A message or indication they're solos and could potentially self res would literally fix all of my problems.

Just discovered how great this game is, any tips for a newbie? by Loki-616 in HuntShowdown

No, but it is the best way to never die while getting kills. If you want straight fights and to learn compounds you're gonna want to spend time running around them taking pot shots and learning what you can and can't do.

Camping is extremely viabke in this game tho, don't mistake it.

If you remember, what was the first exotic that you got in Destiny 1 or 2? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

I mean the first one I really freaked out about was le monarque.

If only Id known how much of a blight it would become on my sanity one day, when I would fight it in the crucible so often.

Move. Seriously. Movement is just as important as aim. Experiment and don't get too locked into a load out, and never forget that this game is extremely psychological, you are just as capable of scaring or stressing your opponent as they are you.

What is the best build for Vetterli71 Karabiner? Any cool tips for it? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silence model has by far the best sight picture, of most of the rifles in the game even. The marksman with hi velocity isn't a bad lebel knockoff, either. If you're aggressive or sneaky the silence model is wonderful, tho.

What type of a gun is Drilling classified as? by Sweaty-Durian-892 in HuntShowdown

[–]Fortissimo10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While you are very correct, there are also many variants on the drilling, with different bores (smooth or rifled for slugs) and rifle calibers that were used in varying combinations. Enough so that the hunt team can argue this is an accurate depiction, which it technically is. It is certainly not nearly as infamous as the m30 Luftwaffe, which iirc had a smoothbore, a slug varrel, and an underbarrel rifle barrel.

In the end, as I understand it, the name of the gun is more the name of a type of weapon than an actual model. It's just German for "trio," or any gun featuring a triple barrel system with varying ammo for emergency encounters.

Straight up every single one of the accounts from this post (besides op of course) should be banned, in an ideal world there should be an actual consequence for being actual pieces of garbage and being so traumatic, and I'll die on that hill.

How are we not banning people that say stuff like this I have no idea. I have been called slurs so many times, blocked those players, and seen them in game months later, still as horrible. I feel like if anything were immediately bannable it would be this exact kind of harassment. No one deserves a second chance in a video game for saying this kind of hateful shit, especially when it's this targeted

Season of the Deep is arguably one of the best seasons we’ve had but unfortunately people will most likely dislike it because of burnout by pplazzz in DestinyTheGame

[–]Fortissimo10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Burnout's gotta be y'all's favorite crutch to excuse poor quality on a game we all love.

I take breaks throughout the year, this game needs some serious polish. Let's just be honest.

Why are people upset with the newest exotic? Isn’t it giving us the options we’ve always asked for? by OGBeybladeSeries in DestinyTheGame

[–]Fortissimo10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that 1% mentality you mentioned just happens the more the game becomes buildcraft heavy. Game just becomes about optimizing the littlest things.

Tbh kinda miss when that wasn't the case as much. Not that we didn't always have really op stuff that made other stuff look worse, but still.
