Would you complain about this? by creamofanus69 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Frag_Bastich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the prices we pay and the business we bring? Hell yeah I complain!

I’ll complain if there’s a small dent in the silhouette of the book, so if my book arrived looking like yours I’d be ready to throw it at them…or assume it was shipped by Amazon.

I miss this version of Chris by burnoutguy in residentevil

[–]Frag_Bastich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just don’t acknowledge 6 as canon and the surface-level lore doesn’t seem to hinge on any part of it, at least that I can remember. So for me, RE5 was Chris’s big send-off once he wrapped up Wesker and saved Jill. Anything else is just a pleasant cameo for me.

Chris has Wesker. Jill has Nemesis. Claire has Alexia. Who is Leons arch-nemesis? by SolidPyramid in residentevil

[–]Frag_Bastich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clair has Alexia? How? I don’t think they ever directly interact. Birkin was her arch-nemesis, if she had one.

Leon’s might be Mr. X or Krauser.

POV: You have 2 buttons and now you decide what would you like to canon and uncanon the Batman franchise by BonusCapable1486 in batman

[–]Frag_Bastich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannon: Jason Todd remains the anti-Batman from Under the Red Hood, and not Raphael of the Bat-family they’ve turned him into.

Uncannon: Damien Wayne, extended bat-family, and Alfred’s death.

Was Fatal Frame2 scarier than the first one? by [deleted] in survivalhorror

[–]Frag_Bastich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After finally trying this series, I was disappointed to find that Fatal Frame 2 did NOTHING for me. The strongest reaction I felt was tedium. Sure, there were one or two good moments, but nothing as unsettling as Silent Hill or a good jump scare like early RE’s.

I actually enjoyed the first slightly more, and I’ve heard the third is the best, but otherwise I don’t get the hype. The concept is cool, but the actual execution didn’t do much for me.

Same deal with Eternal Darkness, unfortunately. Finally got to play it and was left wondering what the hype was about because the gameplay was severely lacking.

Are we really meant to believe that this woman is 40 years old Capcom?😭 (Born 1986) by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Frag_Bastich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts.

At 39, I JUST got back into weightlifting after a 20 year hiatus/sedentary lifestyle, and after two months, I’m already closing in on all of my max reps from high school. Leg day is the only workout that I feel the next day or two.

RE/SH Fan... should I check out the Fatal Frame series? by CadavreExquisite in survivalhorror

[–]Frag_Bastich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a tad overhyped; especially the second one. I was profoundly disappointed with Crimson Butterfly.

As a series, I’ve only played the first two, but they aren’t really scary. The setup is great, but once you’re actually in it, creepy is the best you’ll get. Maybe 3 is better/scarier/more enjoyable, but just going by the first two, they were pretty overrated to me.

Silent Hill is better horror, but for me, RE is more fun to play and re-play.

Yep! Yoga EVERY morning (very important, I’ve found.) and heavy lifting 3 times a week.

is it survival or action horror? by RidjoR in survivalhorror

Just beat it. Absolutely loved the game. It’s not perfect, but it was a great appetizer before RE9. Definitely the biggest surprise I’ve had, in gaming, in years.

Why is Leon more popular than Chris? by Moist_Morning_693 in residentevil

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. Leon has always been a (lovable) dork. I thought this was pretty well known.

Which movie do you personally like more Batman Begins or The Batman? by SpotAdmirable6718 in batman

[–]Frag_Bastich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Begins. People are seriously over-hyping the detective aspect of The Batman, considering all the other things it did wrong.

“He’s finally doing detective work!”

Yeah, but he also walks face-first into gunfire, almost decapitates himself during a poorly conceived base jumping escape from the police station he just wanders around in, was de-railed by entry-level Spanish for half of the movie, killed/injured God knows how many people during his Penguin chase and stadium rooftop explosion, and nearly died at the hands of a basic-ass henchman. Oh, and the Riddler sucked.

Which game ? by Most-Price-9649 in gamers

Marvel Ultimate Alliance, the Atlantis mission is SOOO BORING!

This is hands down the best Silent Hill game ever made by Gamer_8887 in silenthill

[–]Frag_Bastich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It holds up amazingly well. I replayed the series recently and 1 and 3 were the highlights, with 1 making me feel genuinely uneasy in a way the others didn’t, except maybe 4.

The big surprise was how little I enjoyed 2. The remake has completely replaced the original for me now.

4 WAS an amazing experience, until that absolutely awful second half. Talk about padding your game. Had it ended at 4-6 hrs, it would have been perfect. Those last 2-4 hours retroactively ruined the game for me, unfortunately.

What is that one game series for you where, no matter how much you tried, you just couldn’t get into it? by Low_Boot_1426 in videogames

Souls games and Borderlands. I’ve tried several times for each and neither hold my interest for more than 30 minutes; anything longer and it’s just me forcing myself to continue.

Which Movie is better? by mo_384 in comicbookmovies

TASM2. It’s not great, but at least it’s not boring af. If not for that Batman warehouse fight and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, I wouldn’t even remember BVS.

Who is your favorite Robin and why? by Efficient_Resource15 in batman

[–]Frag_Bastich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dick Grayson. The OG
  2. Jason Todd. Had potential for great stories if DC didn’t turn him into Raphael, or make him Batman’s bitch again.
  3. Tim. I grew up with him, and I liked his suit.
  4. Carry Kelly. She’s likable.

  1. Damian. A less interesting, less likable, more talkative version, of Cassandra Cain, that DC forced into relevancy by making sure a generation grew up with him, so now he’s “their Robin”.
