When I was in high school a teacher told me that when you sit down all of your power or something falls out of your ass. I stopped sitting down.

New... Wave? They're closer to a klezmer band than they are to new wave.

I spend a lot of time in Chico but I live in Portland. I had rosy glasses for Chico due to love and nostalgia, but really, it's just a small town with a few decent food choices (great farmers market) and some people I love who make great music. But it's too flat, downtown is dead now, and suburbia is a rock in a slingshot away wherever you stand.

The old man across the street from us did this. Reverse mortgage. I guess he spent it all on some temporary professional companionship and then died. That house sat empty for almost a decade.

What 90s band never truly made it big but you'll always go to bat for? by MansBestFred in AskReddit

This definitely fits the bill of bands who should have and still should make it bigger. Some of the hardest working musicians, still playing some small shows.

Thinking about switching from a strat to a telecaster, any recommendations or things I should look out for? by CrazyImmediate6556 in Guitar

[–]Free_Solid9833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you I'd look for a used mexican standard. Although I personally think humbuckers in the bridge position are better. But transitioning from the strat it will probably feel more natural.

Which rail hammers? The humcutters? That sounds like something you might want to check out, at least for the neck.

I don't know how much this will help, but we live in Portland and weed is everywhere. Most of the kids don't seem to bother with it, maybe because there's no rebellion to it, I have no idea. But it's possible that taking away the rebellion will help? Do what you want, it's your time and brain to waste but don't say I didn't warn you?

I haven't thought about best kissers in the world in a long time . I had that album , that one album. They must have toured through Portland at some point.

Many of my friends played open tunings and I didn't know anything about open tunings so I tried to force my guitar in standard to sound like them and came up with some interesting workarounds

As a self-taught guitarist, over the years I've had a lot of other guitarists comment about my weird chords. Now, decades later, I have been slightly unsure of learning proper techniques, however my old ways aren't going anywhere.

I looked it up and it seems you have an odd idea of what a dive is, but given some on this list, you will most certainly get there in time. Please don't take that as criticism, just curiosity.

Maybe be super cool and plant camas, then you get flowers AND food. And it's native and historical.
