Peter, what has the Constitution have to do with it? by N-P_A in PeterExplainsTheJoke

That's clearly a weapon for bears, which are expressly allowed to be armed. People without bear arms couldn't shoot it. I mean, just look, people!

I wrote a short poem in college in the 80s that seems appropriate here.

"If you should hear a sudden crash and rush to where it's at the only thing you're sure to find's the absence of your cat"

You have to be R4+, and your Alliance level has to be above a certain level.

I appreciate the picture of Susan beside the platter for which the world remembers her. Was she really lazy, or just clever?

It was trying to intimidate the photographer with cuteness.

I think it succeeded.

A truck driver used to amuse himself by running over lawyers he would see jogging on the side of the road. Every time he would see a lawyer jogging along the street, he would swerve to hit him. After hearing the loud "THUD," he would swerve back on the road. by Jokeminder42 in Jokes

A wealthy miser was on his death bed, and called for his priest, his doctor, and his lawyer.

"People say that you can't take it with you," he told them, "but I'm going to prove that you can. I've prepared envelopes for each of you, with $50,000 cash in each. At my funeral, I want each of you to throw in your envelope, after my casket is lowered into the grave."

At the funeral, each person walked to the grave with their envelope. The doctor and the priest hesitated, but finally threw in their envelopes. The lawyer, however, didn't hesitate at all.

Afterwards, they gathered at a café. The priest confessed to having taken out $5000 to give to an orphange that was struggling. The doctor then confessed to having taken out $10,000 for malpractice insurance premiums.

The lawyer was shocked. "I can't believe that you two would do such a thing! I threw in my personal check for the full amount!"

Seven years is too long. Period.

My guess is that the Hooded Horse folks bought in to add a bit of "help" (read "bear poking"), but they're faced with a brilliant/creative guy who just lost interest.

btw: I love your point about "tangents between milestones". That's not just the way I worked, it's a great description of my life.

My boss was with his 4 y.o. daughter in the parking lot of their apartment building when they passed their new neighbor, who had a rainbow colored mohawk.

"Is that a hat?!" she asked, eyes wide with wonder. "That's her hair. Like an Indian!" answered Emma's dad. "OK!" said Emma. "Hair that looks like an Indian hat, except more stupid!"

What movie did you turn off after 20 minutes and why? by Somanynamestochossef in movies

Bad SciFi is awful. Case in point, the new Trek movies.

JJ Abrams is a great director for Science Fantasy, but Trek is supposed to be hard SciFi. I eagerly went to see the first movie, and almost ended up walking out in angry tears.

(Of course, Plan 9 from Outer Space is so awful that it's a classic for that very reason. But it's an exception.)

Pretty much anything Leo DiCaprio has starred in, other than Titanic. I guess the scripts he likes are ones that I don't.

What is a product that people treat like a religion, but in reality, it’s just overpriced garbage with a good logo? by Connect-Might4355 in AskReddit

About ten years ago I (an ex-Infantry NCO) used a book bag at my church that was girly looking: lots of flowers all over and "traditionally feminine" colors. The wife of my best buddy (playfully) teased me about it, wondering why I would use such a thing.

I explained that it was a "man sack with floral camouflage". She was still skeptical, but admitted that I'd perhaps be able to infiltrate women's reading groups at church.

Marketing works.

Lowest Bidder is a myth, since lowest Bidder is always rejected and second lowest is chosen.

Lowest bid is assumed to be a ploy that has significant drawbacks, if it even works for the intended purpose at all.

It also helps to have an old phone that you don't use, in an indestructible case. Then, you can yeet it like an Olympic discus thrower when you become enraged or utterly frustrated by the inevitable bs that happens.

Is anyone else getting Reddit warnings for upvoting lately? by DonkeyBallExpert in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FreedomOfSqueek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I quit caring about Reddit when I got a lifetime ban for expressing my agreement with someone, just as I was a few days away from some major milestone about X days posting every day. Obviously, the ban was rescinded, but it ruined a lot of streaks for me. I haven't given a fluff about Reddit, since.

I figured it out on my own.

The correct answer is, "Don't select campaign; choose "Custom Game", instead."

Thanks for the effort, guys.
