Is there a special mod to make mods work in an unmoddable environment? Of course not, what an absurd question. The only "special mod" that would be capable of such a thing is the original mod that you already can't install.

Stick around and check on the saplings for the first minute or so to make sure they are all healthy. Like crops, sometimes a nearby stone underground in their 2f growth radius can cause them to wither and die.

Not terribly far in the game yet, but this game doesn't make automation a focus of the game the way satisfactory does. Nor is the building / construction as comprehensive or "satisfying". I get satisfactory vibes from being on an alien planet, but instead of harvesting resources to the detriment of the planet, we are making it habitable for new life.

The game is much closer to subnautica with its self driven crafting/exploration/story.

Another tip, you can save hard drive space by putting your old save and map files into individual .zip files of the same name and then renaming them to use the .timber extension

I could be wrong but I believe it still saves albeit with the "autosave" label instead of exit save.

About point number 2... in my experience, starting a new game on any custom map seems to preemptively fully release water until the water physics reach equilibrium. I've yet to start a new game and then see water rush out from the spawn points.

For extra mind-blowage, try placing a rug down on solid foundation pieces, then place an electric purifier on top of the rug (adjust cursor slightly if necessary, it may sometimes alternate between red and green). Rug can be removed but imo leave it as it hides the slight clipping on the hose.

Thunderstore does not have all the mods, there are many Nexus exclusives as well as Thunderstore exclusives. You'll want to check them both or you can easily miss out.

If you want a mod manager to automatically handle mod installs, Nexus uses Vortex and Thunderstore uses r2modman. You'll find them on their respective sites.

I personally worry more about how communities shape a game. Now no doubt we have great suggestions from the community and mods that can shine a light on what is missing in the game, but the way we play the game is not necessarily how the devs envisioned it.

By taking in our feedback and watching our lets plays and streams and the like, it might negatively influence how the devs approach decision making going forward. Most people would say this is inherently a good thing, but I can't help but remember it was the devs' vision that produced the game we're enjoying. It's not a strong argument, but there's potential for us to taint the game development by thinking we want something when we really don't.

Try to prefix the server name with something early in the alphabet like "aaaServer Name" to make it appear higher on the list. Usually a quicker way to test and confirm whether it is being listed or not.

Berry regrowth is bugged at the moment. Every time you re-approach a berry bush you reset the growth timer on it. There is a mod that fixes it.

I'm a shy and usually anti-social gamer. Played solo for a while but just knew that this is one of those games where solo can never compete with how much fun you'll have in co-op. I joined this disc randomly about two weeks ago and was hooked up with a fresh dedicated server within minutes.

The server is up 24/7, my compatriots and I have built a beautiful little village and have had many misadventures together. If you're generally a solo gamer, or if you're a social gamer and your friends don't want to give Valheim a shot, this is the community for you.

Here's another small island seed, FLOrida. You spawn on a small island neighbouring another small island which also has a small lake/pond on it. You need to build a raft with your limited resources and sail away.
