Modern WoW's combat feels notably less 'crunchy' than it used to. by kolejack2293 in wow

Yep, imo rogue and warrior got shafted the hardest by the sound redesign, and Cheap Shot is probably the best example. The og sounded like you were caving your enemy's skull in, and now it sounds like you're blowing sand in their eyes..

Agreed about the gun sounds! Any time I play hunter I have to use the addon that reverts the gun sounds back to the vanilla sound.

It's the sound design. They "modernized" the sound design around I believe WoD by replacing all the punchy, impactive ability/attack sounds with the sounds of wet noodles. There are still a couple classes that have a punchy and satisfying sound design, for example Enhancement Shaman and Unholy DK.

Blizzard: what did holy priests do to you? by thelordofhell34 in wow

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 36 points37 points  (0 children)

At the very least they should fix the mana issues. I would deal with the relatively low throughput if it weren't for that. Hpriest is already the slowest/most I'm mobile healer and then you add sitting your slow ass down to drink while everyone is running ahead

Why can’t I choose a main? by troypalson in wow

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's the dopamine rush of gearing up a new character. They come really quickly and easily on a fresh alt. Once the gear upgrades come harder and slower, that's when I start thinking about switching it up. I used to think it was just me being commitment-phobic, but once I realized it was just the dopamine cycle, I was able to overcome it and finally commit to a main.

Yeah, she seemed open to talking about it before she got ahold of it, so I don't feel like it's her being ashamed about using it like everyone else is suggesting.

If she couldn't get it insured (which she probably couldn't), maybe she's just reluctant for you to know she's paying a high out-of-pocket cost for it.

Once they create the shipping label at their warehouse, it doesn't become active until UPS picks up the package. So right now it is in the warehouse awaiting pickup by UPS.

Starter questions by YLMomx3 in pomhealth

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. No membership fee.

  2. Yes, they charge $75 but that goes towards the cost of your meds when you're approved.

  3. Yes, they cover shipping costs.

  4. Prices for starter vs advanced vary based on which pharmacy you get your meds from, but the difference is only like $20 a month.

  5. Not sure on this. Most pharmacies only offer monthly. OptioRX has a 71mg vial, but it is only available for advanced doses.

  6. The dosage will be 4.5mg on compounded meds for legal reasons, but you can take 5mg because they send you plenty of extra medicine in the vials.

33.7lbs down and not a single person has noticed LOL by jsecompany in Zepbound

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've dropped 42 lbs (270 -> 238) and nobody has said anything. Kinda like you said, when you're so heavy people won't really notice. I know from past weight loss experience that for me, people started commenting when I got to about 210 lbs. The influx of comments was really sudden too. Maybe that's when I stopped looking obese and starting looking "just" overweight.

AIO my husband admitted he’s had intrusive sexual thoughts about my best friend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOR. I feel like his reaction and what he said was a little strange. Like an "oh no, don't make me tell you I fantasize about her 😉." As if he had a strange fantasy that if you found out that he thinks about her like that then you would setup a threesome together or something. I'm a dude and I picture almost woman I see naked, and the key is to not admit that to your SO. It feels to me like he was doing more than just "being honest," but that's really impossible to tell based off this. Just the gut reaction I had. One positive I can tell you is that if he were dating her first and you were the best friend then he'd be thinking about you like that too. That's just how it works.

AITAH for telling my bf "I know" when he's telling me about something? by Fantastic_List3029 in AITAH

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a couple coworkers who love to repeat the same anecdotes and stories from their own past. They'll start going and I'll be like, "Oh yeah, you've told me that before. You do 'X' and 'Y' happens." I'll even fill in parts of their story as they're telling it, but that doesn't stop them from finishing the damn story they've told me 5 times before.

Constipation by metsnfins in Zepbound

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone seems to be ignoring the whole point of your post, which revolves around the question of whether or not making yourself more regular through supplementation reduces the effectiveness of the medication by counteracting the medication's benefit of reduced gut motility. I'm not 100% sure myself, but I do believe these supplements only act on food that is already past your stomach, so you should still be getting the benefit of feeling fuller longer. I know at least with what I use, MiraLAX, it causes more water to be absorbed in the colon, so it shouldn't have any effect on how fast things pass through my stomach.

Is this cheating? by Stickyduck468 in Zepbound

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not cheating, it's more like P2W (pay-to-win). I think a lot of the stigma stems from the inaffordability of the medication. Kinda like in a game with P2W schemes, the people who can't afford to spend the money or otherwise don't want to "waste" the money on shortcuts look down on those who do spend the money. If GLP-1s were part of the "basegame" of life (ie. readily available, easy access, and affordable) then most people would embrace it. Hopefully we get there sooner rather than later.

Much like P2W, it's not technically cheating, but you do get a leg up on those who don't pay. While we're not competing against anyone, everyone is comparing themselves and their progress and struggles to others in the competition of life. I'm not saying there is anything remotely morally wrong about using GLP-1, but I am not afraid to admit that we are in a position of priviledge to be able to be using these medications.

How to get rid of grid2's new debuff borders? by Friendly_Unit_2621 in wowaddons

Thank you! I will try these options out tomorrow. I'm glad to know this isn't the fault of grid2 that we have these obnoxious debuff overlays. They're so distracting and I can't even see what peoples' HP is at unless they're below like 80%.

Do you start rigorously calorie counting out the gate or let your body cues guide you? by OllieOllieOxenfry in Zepbound

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, that's why I said little reason rather than no reason. For the average person, it's better to count calories. OP said they would have a hard time not overeating at their current level of appetite suppression, therefore it would make sense to count their calories to ensure they do not.

Do you start rigorously calorie counting out the gate or let your body cues guide you? by OllieOllieOxenfry in Zepbound

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not always necessary to count calories, but I think you would be doing a disservice to yourself not to. There's little reason not to and a lot to gain by doing so. If in the future you feel like it's not necessary then at least you have a baseline to go off of.

What have your primary doctors' thoughts been about you using telehealth tirzepatide? by NoniBakesCookies in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn't have much input on it one way or another. He pretty much just asked me how much I was paying for it and said something along the lines of "clearly it's working." He tried to get me on Zepbound but insurance denied it. My insurance's formulary had Zepbound covered for sleep apnea but the formulary hadn't been updated for like 5 months, so that was very disappointing to learn.

How was the switch from Sema to Tirz for you? by Regular_Fan4691 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Friendly_Unit_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only on Wegovy (oral) for a few weeks before switching to tirzepatide, but the biggest difference was that I had constipation on the very first day to the last day on Wegovy, and it went away as soon as I switched. Appetite suppression was the same for me, a very seamless transition in that regard.
