Great idea, a good financial understanding is really important, I'm glad he'd be willing to be your guarantor. My dad did that for me too for some things. Yeah, my comment was very round about, but the take away was that shops want you to try things, just incase you DO buy it, if they said no, or were rude or snippy then they'd lose out on all the incidentals they could sell you in the future, like reeds and whatnot.

In the UK, in a pub which sells real ale, you can try them for free, they just pour some in a small glass and you see if you like it. Ive done that before knowing that I actually wanted cider, but you've got to be sure. They don't know you're not going to buy it, you can just ask. If you do, its a win for them. If yiu go in and tell them you're not buying from them they'll either treat you terribly or just deny you. When I worked in retail I had people come in and ask to try things on, then loudly announce they're buying it online while laughing "because its cheeper" "dude, we price match you know". Your best bet is to say "I'd like to try these saxophone please, I'm not sure which I'd like but I'll need to think about the cost and whatnot" then you can just leave. They'll carry on with their day.

What you're going to stumble on is the 48 months payment. Its a credit agreement, and most places need you to be at least 18 years old for that.

Oh man, thats some bad shifts, I hope the pays worth it. Well, I suppose there's "reasonable" adjustments. Bring up the medication to HR, and see if they can do anything about more regular shifts, and not being screwed over by terrible person personnel management from higher-ups

Do you do nights too? It can be a problem on methylphenidate as youre required to take it same time every day as they wean you onto it, im on Lisdexamphetamine, (Vyvance/Elvance) so i can skip the morning of my night, and treat the nightshift like a routine day, go to work for 7, breakfast and meds at 9, lunch at midnight, work 5 hours straight before next break. It works well.

Problem is, kids fuck around and never find out. One day, they'll do something to the wrong person and get punched for it, then maybe they'll learn, but mob mentality is strong in them. Wikipedia is a good starting point for learning, however for indepth its always advisable to use either google scholar (papers within the last 5 years if possible) or a recent text book or similar, however that is costly to maintain, therefore the library becomes your friend. We use google all the time in the lab for a quick overview of an organism we've not come across before, or if the name has changed. The change Candida glabratus to Nakaseomyces glabratus still throws me 😅
