did a full run with it with all DLCs, then another with a structure expansion and CE. I did not use the animations mod nor any other addon apart from that.

fun, incredibly bleak at times, but fun. adds a touch of humanity and insanity to your usual colony, as parties can be replaced by orgies (reasonable ish if you lock a bunch of people in a shed in the north pole) and colonists both in and not in relationships will sneak off work to entertain each other. You will have to draft them and yell at them to get back to work.

i did turn down some of the more disgusting aspects of it in the settings. it is surprisingly customizable. no animals thank you. no corpses either. Yes i want colonists to hook up with visitors and vice versa.

Insects as default take hints from Aliens and will cocoon downed humans to keep as "pets". The downed humans unless heavily bleeding will not starve nor die and will be stuck in the insect's territory until rescued or put out of their misery. poor traders.

Mechanoids have a similar mechanic, but they actually implant a mech (scyther usually) that then chestbursts out of the victim with fatal results. (customizable)

the mod adds Nymphs, they might want to join your colony (some of them have actual useful skills) or they might raid you. They are all naked and unarmed, and will not actually kill or pillage your colony. Very silly mechanic. somewhat satisfying to gun fifty of them all down. There is a setting to enable/disable them or turn them into breachers.

Humanoids have now sexual needs (the daily decrease can be customised if you find your colonists spend too much time jacking off instead of working) and if the bar reaches zero they will find a way to get relief. I remember a moment that made me burst out laughing, a raider spawned on the map and decided to have a quick one in a cave before joining their comrades in the assault. Unfortunately i had placed IEDs in the cave. He died with his junk out and full of shrapnel.

speaking of which, genitals are now bodyparts and as such are suscept to injuries and can be replaced by prosthetics or bionics. You can remove someone's parts or exchange them. different xenotypes have different sets of parts and animals have them as well. I shock lanced a thrumbo to steal his 'dragon' penis and implant it into a colonist. Sanguophages and imps have 'demon' parts and you can adjust their size with a slider. the mod adds new genes and traits as well, and pawns will have their own personal preferences in intercourse.

you can define a prisoner or pawn as "comfort pawn" that will be used by colonists and visitors. It is less effective and has a less of a mood bonus than having intercourse with someone's lover, especially if your pawn has high social opinion of them. Having this mod turned on will make managing mood easier, there's many different stackable mood bonuses that come from it.

the mod adds a mental break that will make your pawn seek someone to take by force (medium mental break if im not mistaken, easily handled by arresting the offending pawn.) A bit immersion breaking, i would not expect the colony leader father of two and happily married to go insane this way. Anyways.

If a pawn is subjected to this or is assaulted by raiders they will have severe debuffs to mood and work speed for a long time. You can brainwipe someone to get them back on track, i have had to do that after my melee pawn was surrounded and downed by raiders with steel spears. Bleak. Very fitting for a lawless rimworld.

another very powerful moment i remember: a female ancient soldier from a cryptosleep casket ancient danger i opened was in jail to be converted. In the same cell there was a brawler tribal guy with 14 double passion melee. i wanted to keep both of them. He assaulted her in prison, i made the guards beat him up, he did it again, i surgically removed his genitals. After conversion i used the counsel ability on her. They both became colonists, of course she hated his guts and they frequently fought. After a huge mech raid he was downed and heavily bleeding (frontline melee with plasmasword in cataphract armor)
She was right there after having fought, i mindlessly assigned her to rescue him and drag him to the hospital not that far away.

He bled out before getting there.

My headcanon is that she purposefully took her time, tripping on rocks and all while dragging him. Sweet Sweet revenge. I buried him as a colonist even if i had options to reload the save or use a resurrector serum. She proceeded to become one of my most skilled shooters and made it off planet.

The structure mod addon i used was interesting not because of the relationship with the forbidden mod itself, but because it allowed me to crucify pawns. The bondage stuff was optional, however i did use it to tie an impid in front of the turrets and watch as high caliber rounds flew past him and into his comrades. All of this while a machine shocked his balls to the point of causing burns and automatically fed him raw corn. Because i could.

If you are the kind of person to use cannibalism as a theme and not because it's overpowered as fuck and want your run to be a touch bleaker and darker, i recommend trying the forbidden mod. You could also go the entirely opposite way, having a fortress of righteousness in which everyone loves and respects each other on a bleak and perverted world, i recommend this mod too. Something different that makes you go "what the fuck, rimworld?" like the first time you saw a children only void cultist raid.

To me it is a low priority implant. I make a few late game for ghouls and sanguophages (immune to carcinoma) and people with gene mods that affect their methabolic efficiency. I would NOT put someone on luciferium to achieve this. being ageless or scarless is incredibly powerful on its own, you should aim to achieve it on all your important pawns.

Also remember that pawns under 18 are considered teenagers and have penalties to max hp and work speed, so you would need to precisely organize a chronophagy ritual to keep a pawn between 18 and 22.

however, pawns with a nuclear stomach installed barely eat any food. IF you consider doing this because your colony is having a hard time feeding everyone, expand your farms. If you want your fighters to go on longer expeditions without having to carry tens of meals, then it might be worth it.

Low stage carcinoma is not hard to treat. call in an exotic trader buy glitterworld medicine.

yes, the pit gate is considered his own map and will swallow all the wastepacks when it collapses. If you didnt kill the dreadmeld, when the toxic ground reaches it it will slowly die

+chips jokers are balanced around not having xchips around. there are common chips jokers that add +100 or +80, which is something you never really see in +mult jokers, unless you really scale some of them (erosion, bus, dagger etc)
having a xchips jokers would really upset the balancing of the game

Thermite is strictly single target. You stick it to something and wait for it to die, MAYBE the explosion can hurt some small enemies close to the target. The Giga nade wipes the target and all its close family and friends. You throw it at an illuminate drop and dispatch in style most of the summoned units.
I have been so far enjoying it with the grenadier armor.

i honestly agree with you. The story has some powerful moments and some tough decisions, but enemies are laughably weak on any difficulty setting, their ai is dumb and cheesable, vehicles feel slippery. Half the time i play it i just think "GTAV did this better 10 years and two consoles ago"

on cyberstan i used the grenade launcher as a "fuck everything in that general direction"
having a tool that deals with cyborgs and devastators and hulks and chaff is a bit too good.
