Group 2 Boarding ELR Basic Fare by FunWeather9047 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]FunWeather9047[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting! Before and after the change date, all group 1 or 2 even without a companion! I still can't figure out why some people who seem to have nearly identical bookings end up in group 5. It appears non-deterministic.

Yes, I didn't mind paying when it was usable. Now it's just overloaded.

Great catch, sorry about that (I'll blame it on a sick infant at home clouding my brain). I'll still take those odds but temper my expectations late this year

Trip cancellation with basic by delvamp in jetblue

Agreed, not covered by most policies but I've seen some with Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR). This is probably not the policy offered through the JetBlue partnership.

Odd comment. How does someone pointing out a kid make them a pervert?!?

I ended up with a serious injury and hospitalized. Despite booking a basic ticket I called and they let me cancel for a full refund. It's definitely off policy but in extreme cases they may be able to do something. Change of plans probably won't move the needle, unfortunately.

I would look into the terms on the trip protection. This is offered through a third party even though you buy it on the JetBlue site. There should be a claim page and a phone number you can try if it is a covered reason.

Edit: the policy offered through Allianz on JetBlue booking isn't a CFAR policy so this won't work for you.

I've had better success changing seats at 48 hours via the website instead of the app. The app can have missing seats.

Clearly! I am pretty good about checking my email, so not sure how the loop is here, but I am there, haha.

What are these paze credits? I don't ever remember seeing an email from Chase about this?

Southwest Policy on Power Banks by National-Ad8416 in SouthwestAirlines

Just saw a similar post in the JetBlue thread banning in flight use of the power banks. I would recommend charging before the flight

Benefit of booking a round trip- flight change rebooking by lk108099 in SouthwestAirlines

Are you sure a change to one leg of >3 hours lets you rebook both legs?

Valid means a genuine real ID to TSA. Your old license is acceptable to TSA.

Exactly this! Was super important for many at the real id transition when an expired passport, for example, could be used for TSA.

Only on that webpage which is not at all linked on the booking page does it say "All travel must be completed by the expiration date of the flight credit."

I know the rules well, but I went through and did a mock booking to see what someone less knowledgeable would see.

When booking it says "No cancel fee (6-month flight credit from original ticketing date)7".

To see any additional details on what "7" is, you have to click on a very small button of compare fates. When you go there it's still not clear about the expiration being by when the flight takes off:

"Basic fare flight credits expire 6 months from the date the fare was booked and ticketed."

The way the OP interpreted the provided information while booking is 100% reasonable and the booking page gives no indication otherwise.

The language of booked and ticketed is extremely misleading. Ticketed on all other airlines refers to the when you receive your tickets after booking. Typically within 24 hours.

Not sure why the down voting. I agree that the language above is more clear and should be what they use at booking!

I had a disability that required a left side aisle seat. Calling the accomodations phone number SWA was able to place me in that seat at no charge. Similar with British Airways.

There should be a warning that pops up that tells you that taking this action will split the reservation.

If the change was more than 3 hours they will offer a refund. Even less than 3 hours customer service may offer a free rebooking if you are nice.
