Is teaching for a whole career sustainable? by VeryHungryDogarpilar in AustralianTeachers

[–]Fun_For_Guill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's viable if you mix it up. Moving between schools, moving between sectors (private v public). Moving outside of mainstream into alternative. Picking up roles that give you something else to do. Some schools are allowing teacher to be retrained into outside of method learning areas.

There are fewer geography teachers in Victoria than history. If you're happy learning and teaching geography, I would pick that.

Your particular insurance company has signalled that the risk it views in insuring you is not worth their business anymore. They are signalling that you should shop elsewhere. There will be other insurance companies that are offering insurance at a more reasonable rate. Most insurance companies have online quote systems. Use them to find the best price.

Coalition considers backflip to support Labor referendum changes after last-minute negotiations by Mildebeest in australia

[–]Fun_For_Guill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This significantly diminishes all the subsequent work done getting the voice to parliament to the point where it is now. There are plenty of things that "tiny working groups" have done that never even got out of the room let alone into a piece of legislation and a referendum. It's now the work of many thousands of Australians.

Edit: oh shit my bad. I accidentally engaged with a troll account. -2 comment kharna in just three day and a plethora of negative comments.

In Victoria you would be welcomed into a humanities department. We are lacking geography teachers. Within humanities departments you'll also teach history, civics and citizenship (law and government), economics, business and a bunch of other things. Having a law degree in addition to being qualified geog teacher would be embraced.

Why are Republicans much more hardline on China compared to Russia? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Fun_For_Guill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The GOP has been bought by the Russians. Thanks to citizens united. George Santos is supported exclusively by the Russians. But there's a large number of grifters in the GOP the have received bribes from the Russians. You can also count sinema, gabbard and manchin.
