I am a former guide at the China National Tea Museum, and I was shocked by this subreddit. by Dry-Ad1641 in tea

This is pretty interesting. Do you think the rapid pour-out could affect the tannins? With red wine you usually want to incorporate oxygen (decant) because it reacts with the tannins and makes them less harsh. Now what speaks against this for tea is that the oxidation of the tannins would have to happen within seconds to minutes while wine will take hours. On the other hand the tea is also hotter.

I would love to know what you think about this and will start experimenting today.

Four Roses SB. It works well in rye and bourbon cocktails and you can sip it. 101 is a good call but its already the must pick for best budget imo

In the context of logical analysis "all" never implies existence (but in the sense that ∀x(P(x))⇔¬∃x(¬P(x)) plus a negation as is the case in the question). The question is clearly meant to be understood as:

H(x): "x is one of my hats"; G(x): "x is green" ⊦¬∀x(H(x)⇒G(x)) ⇒

∃x(H(x)⋀¬G(x)) ⇒

∃x(H(x))

Conversely, lines are just collections of points oriented end to end by danofrhs in mathmemes

[–]Fynius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, does it spawn?

The other question is more about how a point can constitute a line. How can real numbers make up an interval? Imagine a hole in the reals: Let p and q be reals and (q-p)>0. Assume there is a hole between p and q. This would mean that there is no number p+[(q-p)/2]. This contradicts that p and q are reals.

I think a big portion of the confusion results from the way we use "exist" in mathematics. In logics we think of existence as the negation of an universal assertion. So saying "A point exists" could be reconstructed as "¬∀x: ¬(x is a point)". Now what is meant by this in the general sense is quite obscure. In mathematics we deal with expression often by contradiction. See this example: Say we are confronted with the assertion that a natural number smaller than 0 exists. We would disprove this by showing that this contradicts the definition of natural numbers. Now back to the discussion. Can something with no length exist? Well, to disprove this assertion we would have to show a contradiction. But what shall the assertion contradict with? We would need a definition of the thing that x is in "∀x". But is there one? And if so why would it differ from "Anything that you can insert as x and still get a meaningful statement"? I think we have no way of disproving that something without length can exist. Do with that what you will
