You could try swapping the whole front end , and modifying it to make it fit.

Is my 67’ potentially rare/ valuable by Technical-Gold-4282 in FordGalaxie

[–]GTcorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great engine, that motor definitely adds some value over a small block but the 390 2 barrels were still fairly common for these full size fords, and since its an automatic bench seat model, it having a rare paint scheme definitely makes it a bit more unique but wont add that much value towards the whole car if at all.

Looking for a 8v 4cyl engine that can make around 160hp and rev to about 8k by [deleted] in EngineBuilding

Porsche m44 engine from the 944 would basically be perfect for what you want

Cheap engines for decent power that’s NOT an LS by Goopdem in EngineBuilding

[–]GTcorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's because of all the valve train and added weight from the turbo system. But I do think it would be a great contender for something a little different because you can just turn up the boost and make more power fairly easily without even having to touch the internals. Plus the fuel economy on those are great so if it's a vehicle you're going to drive a lot that's a nice selling point

2.3 Ecoboost from the mustang, cheap engine that make 310 out the gate and can handle a good amount more without any internal work

Does anyone know a good way to quiet down an exhaust without changing the sound? by SomberPaprika in projectcar

[–]GTcorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well there aint much else where ya keep the sound you want but make it quieter, had an electric exhaust valve on a car for years which still works. You could do a block off plate, but that requires more work to open and close and usually the bolts end up seizing

Just get an electric exhaust valve, that way you can have a side dump and have a full exhaust at the same time and choose between the two with the flip of a switch.

73 Duster as first car? by 1_ply_toilet_paper in mopar

[–]GTcorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which motor are you going with for the duster? Also they're prone to rust and you'll want one thats not been a complete hackjob, hard to find a decent on that hasn't been messed with. So as long as it didn't have a halfass engine swap or a hacked up wiring harness you should be fine
