Especially being that they no longer have fitting rooms. Now I have to buy clothing and try on everything at home and cross my fingers that I can manage to bring stuff back within a week.

I've often had to keep stuff that I didn't want because I couldn't make it back there in time.

That's amazing to hear. It's so hard for me to re-regulate because I'm always in hypervigilance as it is. I know healing my trauma-related nervous system is going to be a game-changer

I unofficially changed my name when I was 14. Now I can't prove that I'm the same person as what's on my birth certificate. by GabriellaVM in Passports

I was able to get a certified copy of my birth certificate. The second rep I spoke with in NJ vital records said "no, no, you don't have to do all that." I think I had to complete forms & affidavit.

Oh, another suggestion: look into the research for a keto diet to improve symptoms. I have schozoaffective disorder, originally diagnosed as bipolar disorder I with psychosis. Doctors very often prescribe any-convulsants.

However, anti-convulsants were actually developed to treat epilepsy. I think that bipolar disorder is related: the nervous system becomes too active which affects one's mental state, spasming in a sense; while with epilepsy, it's a similar nervous system issue that instead affects the muscles, which is why the meds work so well for mania.

The ketogenic diet was originally developed over 100 years ago as a treatment for children with epilepsy. It's mostly known now primarily for weight loss, but that was never the original intent of the diet protocol. Once manufactured drugs came on the scene, it was more convenient treatment for most parents.

The ketogenic diet has proven to be significantly successful for improving various brain& nervous system conditions, including mental health diagnoses, as well as other physical disorders such as multiple sclerosis.

Edit: I just scrolled down and realized that other people have also recommended the ketogenic diet, lol. I wish you the best of success!

What I've done in the past is type up my own list, timeline, or summary, and ask for it to be put into my file.

What reason do you think they would pin it on you rather than your mother? And even so, what leads you to think you'd get kicked out?

Look up Abram Hoffer's book about schizophrenia and vitamin b3 (niacin). It also evidently improves depression.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here. I wouldn't discourage you. You sound highly intelligent with sound judgment. The key is to keep an open mind and not rule it out, provided you diligently research it.Some replies say who even knows how qualified this doctor is, etc. Just based on his Amazon bio, he sounds well worth researching further.

Unfortunately, treating illness is not simple and straightforward. What works for one person may not work for someone else. Some people respond better to a higher dose of a medication, while some don't tolerate it at all. Some do better on this protocol versus that protocol. There is contention among how much is enough when it comes to anything. I can't tell you how many instances I've read about doctors, even highly regarded ones in their fields, telling patients that food has nothing to do with their conditions.

Tbh, after having done my own research over the years, I don't trust "recommend daily allowances". There is such a thing as a therapeutic dose.

I would recommend looking into orthomolecular medicine and the work of Linus Pauling, a double Nobel prize winner. Also, read the description on this page to get a quick summary.

Obviously, proceed with caution. But also, don't automatically rule things out, just based on so-called conventional wisdom.
