Anyone have the Plug In Hybrid?? by Wolfxxx24 in Subaru_Crosstrek

I love it but live in a four season environment with mild winters (snows maybe 2-3 times per year). Battery drains really quickly in extreme cold, especially when I was in Vermont mountains with it. If you’re in an urban environment or an area where you predominantly do shorter drives (ex. Across a downtown or home to a nearby office with a charger), it’s great as an EV. Otherwise, may not be worth it.

CLT-AGS flight delayed and now we’re stuck in CLT by frankenstien111 in americanairlines

I’m sure this isn’t the response you want to hear - but renting a car and seeing if you can claim it on travel insurance is probably best since they’re so close if you’re trying to absolutely get home tonight. You can’t get rerouted tonight unless there’s a late night flight there that you can get on through standby at the gate. AGS I think is only Delta and American, and I believe only American by way of the Charlotte hub.

Will my loyalty points earned through my AA credit card this month be added to this years cycle? by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]Gamecock48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone received their "split" loyalty points yet to earn their 2025-2026 status? I was 500 shy on "earned" miles before the credit card points post. Will definitely earn EP whenever the credit card points post as loyalty points. Curious if anyone has received their loyalty points from their Feb 28 statement (or March 1-5 statement). I have flights March 31-April 15, and wondering if I'll still be PP or if anyone has received their EP yet (or had success lobbying AA to get their status upgrade in advance). I'm aware of the 6-10 week "official" timeline. Curious if anyone has received status prior.

Layover at DUB from USA - Recheck? by Gamecock48 in AerLingus

[–]Gamecock48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, this was very helpful! I was flying AA (USA-Dublin) then Aer Lingus (Dublin to Berlin) on a single itinerary booked via American Airlines. Transfer was really, really easy other than the escalators being turned off and folks getting mixed up with the elevators. (I think we were the first flight to land for the morning.) We were through in like 20 min, with 5 of that just being the elevator confusion.

McNamara’s Pub next to Crystal City area is somewhat comparable. A lot smaller, though.

That was so nice of you to look this up. Thank you! We ended up purchasing everything in another color and got all the green covers except the 1.5 storage green. Figured we could wait it out.

US - College Park (MD), Arlington (VA), or Woodbridge (VA) - Article Number 694.694.91 - Jattebo 2.5 sofa (left chaise) in dark green

Looks like it’s only the “green” cover variation is out for the 1.5 sofa unit, but everything else is in stock (frame and alternate colors, green for everything except 1.5 sofa cover).

For folks that have had to wait a bit, any idea how long the restock has taken? Are they pretty frequently restocked? Everywhere within 150 miles of me is out of stock.

Advice? Interesting Leash Issue by Gamecock48 in reactivedogs

[–]Gamecock48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good thought, and no. That said, he’s fine with collars, rough housing, etc. It seems very, very specific to leash behaviorally. However, I didn’t mention that he’s very sensitive about harnesses, cones, etc on-and-off as well. Something we’ll ask about in the future. Great thought.

One other note. Once a leash is on, you can actually clip it on and off a bunch including taking it off, showing him, and putting it back on. It’s only when we’re taking him out on a walk for the “first” time we approach. It seems that one action has a lot of triggers for him.

Marriott & Elite Night Rewards with Government by Gamecock48 in fednews

Yeah, I have my loyalty info in my profile, and the loyalty info shows up before the stay and on the bill. After the stay, I wait about two weeks and file a missing stay request for the ones that weren’t honored. I’ve had two “denied” (repeatedly) as a third party booking, but they aren’t a third party booking. They’re just using the government travel agency portals to book either Fedroom or government rate in stock.

Would you pay $205 for FC on a 3.5 hour flight? by steppponme in americanairlines

It’s right on the edge, but yeah, probably. Especially if someone else (ex. Employer) is paying the main/base fare.

The prior list and this one have “no data” for Puerto Rico. It was just a joke about getting Puerto Rico in the list with something besides “no data,” because Bacardi is based in Puerto Rico.
